A: It's different for everyone. What matters, and you will know this as you are the one who knows yourself well, is that you don't reactivate the pathways you've recovered due to a lack of P-Use. If you're still activating them through utilization of your hand, then that can still lead to difficulties. As a former P-addict, unfortunately this will be something you deal with for a very, very long time. Our brains are indeed plastic and do change, but these negative pathways are still there in many cases after a recovery. They are nowhere near as powerful, but the last thing you want to do is give them any sort of activation. Judging by the addition at the bottom, you may find it better in your case to abstain from MO for a while. None of the science states that you require excess action to rewire. Even just beginning to form those pathways that are activated with physical contact is a good start. But if you keep reinforcing the ones that have been wired to thinking pleasure = hand, this is where difficulty arises.

B: Nofap and YBOP have stated they are not opposed to masturbation, not that the lack thereof is inherently wrong. Everyone's individual case is different. There is also nothing that they say that lends any credit to the notion that 'if you don't use it, you lose it.' You simply don't. If that were the case, than many of these several-year long recoveries would end in disaster as the user finds that their member has fallen off. In fact, in the vast majority of articles and anecdotal reports, long-term abstinence only improves performance overtime. You can take this information however you'd like, but if you keep seeing negative results from your current actions (as seen by your addition at the end), you may want to rethink your strategy. Don't allow yourself excuses to fall back into negative habits.
