How to persuade people that it's easy to be porn-addicted?

I'm doing some writing in order to clear up some misinformation in my country about porn. My perspective is:
Porn is Harmful.
Teenagers should keep away from it.
Adults should acknowledge its harmfulness and are advised to quit porn.

Everyone is advised to quit porn,because it's highly addictive.But how to persuade people about it?
I hope someone could provide me with research papers about the rate of being addicted for adults,which is the most persuasive.If the rate of having addiction is 5% and addition leads to much pain,then quitting porn should be necessary.However,such statistics can be hard to get and not rigorous.
I believe just illustrating the mechanism of how the addition forms isn't persuasive enough for a long-time porn user,because such mechanism also applies to short video apps like Tiktok,which are popular in China and people don't regard it as very harmful despite having reliaze their being addictive.

I'll be more than grateful if you could share your brilliant ideas with me.

Good post. I agree with everything you say. I am not an academic or any kind of expert. I am seriously addicted to live sex webcams and I know the damage porn can cause. Porn can cause immeasurable damage in all kinds of ways

I don't think enough research has been done yet into how addictive porn is. In fact some schools of thought still don't recognise porn as an addiction at all. Because the level of porn use we are seeing now is still a relatively new phenomena and has only been climbing to this level since high speed internet has been available, only about 20 years it will probably take quite a few more years until figures are available on the levels of addiction and how widespread it is.

We here on NoFap know how addictive porn is by direct experience of it. We know how addictive it is and the damage it causes. Cigarettes, drugs, alcohol, gambling are also highly addictive and the damage and effects of these are well documented and known by everyone but people still indulge in them so I can't see porn being any different, no matter what information is available about the dangers of porn people sadly will still indulge in it. Tiktok and instagram and any of these app are very dangerous and what's more they are aimed a kids not older people. Get them young and you have them for life. That seems to be the motto of these social media platforms.

Have you checked the website www.yourbrainonporn.com ? This site contains links to numerous Research works related to the effects of porn addiction on sexual health.

It is worthwhile to spread the message of the harmful effects of porn. Many people suffer without even realizing that perhaps the reason for their suffering is that they are addicted to porn. They don't even recognize that porn can be addictive...the addiction has become normalized and status quo.

We cannot help a person who vehemently believes that it is normal to consume porn, but we can really help those who are suffering with porn addiction to quit by using the research on how porn affects the brain....once you get the blueprint of the prison, figuring a way out becomes easier.

I do my writing with an primary urge to save teenagers from porn.Now I realize that I should be devoted to the harm and accounts from Fapstronauts about how easily the addition come into being and how hard it is to quit.That may makes a sufficient persuasion without the addition rate.
