With a trained professional or YouTube video? If the problem is in the subconscious, then it could be a solution if it works

  2. It's funny you have mentioned that. I was going to propose the idea of Hypnotherapy to the forums. I tried it 3 times, 2 seperate audio's to stop Masterbation, and 1 to stop a fetish.

In short, they never worked for me at all.

By all means, you could try it but you have to have a mind that is susceptable to Hypnotism and mine is not, because I was cautious about something interrupting my hypnosis and I can't switch my brain off. I was aggrevated because I thought it was an easy way out of my addiction, but I have to search other avenues.

From what I have read, all of us are getting hypnotized frequently. The typical examples are when you drive home from work, or you become engrossed in a TV show.

So maybe you need to try hypnosis with a hypnotherapist.

(I have never been hypnotized myself, and I am kind of afraid to try it, but I have done some reading. I am not an expert obviously.)

I've done it. Helped to remove a lot of trauma and stuff. I still use audio's nightly and will probably learn how to preform it myself eventually.

That’s a good point you make about TV. Within about 60 seconds our brains go from alert to suggestible, making hypnosis possible quite quickly; hence why people believe all the daft lies the news has put out over the years, it’s literal hypnotism from the TVs with patents created for just that, I wonder if the phones/ computers have a similar effect

How can you say it's helpful if you didn't do it ?

Personally i don't think it's a good idea to mess up with your brain like that.

I sometimes give myself a self-hypnotic suggestion to avoid sugary foods. I imagine disgusting goops of syrup running through my veins and feeling like shit, sluggish and low to life. It somehow gives me an immediate distaste for the crap. I never found a way to apply the same self-suggestion to masturbation. However, one memeber once composed a great list of items that came close to this kind of tactic - See Emergency Toolbox at >>>> My "Emergency Toolbox": readings that help me to get out of the autopilot when I get urges
