First let me say that thankfully you have not started purchasing cam shows. Take that as the first positive step that you can conquer this addiction.

I can totally understand your addiction to cam girls. I agree it can be worse then porn, because you feel like you're getting a real interaction with someone. I had one cam girl i would see regularly and we would talk about her moving in with me and us living together. The rational side of my brain knew that after each session she is just working me for money, but the addicted side of my brain did not care.

When the pandemic started, my company sent everyone to work from home. I was already a porn addicted and had done cam girl shows, but working from home just escalated it a lot more. I spent close to $5000 per year for 2 years on cam girls. I was just like you, closing my account and reactivating it many times. When I saw I spent close to $10,000 on cam shows it was the wake up call that I needed. I took the following steps to conquer the cam addiction:

1. I took a post it note and wrote $10K and put it on my computer. This reminded me of just how much money I spent. I would look at it when I thought about going back to cam girl shows.
2. I changed the password on my account to something I will never remember. I had done this many times in the past, but always just clicked the "forgot password" button to reset it.
3. I changed the e-mail on the account to some invalid e-mail address that I will never remember. This was a huge step because now I can't access the account anymore. I click the "forgot password" button and I do not get the reset e-mail.
4. If I feel an urge coming on to do a cam show or watch porn, I do something to distract myself for 5-10 minutes. It can be anything, just as long as it is away from all screens.

I will fully admit that my steps are not 100% effective and may not work for everyone, because I could just go back and create a new account. In fact, about 2 months ago, I was close to relapsing, and I found my favorite cam girl was exclusive on another cam girl site and I created an account to talk to her again. I was even able to create the account with the same screen name I used before since it was on a new site. Once I started interacting with her, she had no recollection of who I was. It was the wake up call I needed to avoid doing cam shows again, because it showed that she never cared about me, only my money. Thankfully that site let you delete your account so I did that and have not been back to her since. At this point in time, it is just about a year for me that I last paid for a cam show.

 

There is a lot to say on the topic of society failing young men today when it comes to helping them develop the skills to have healthy relationships with women, but I'll cut to the chase.

If it was just about taking care of your sexual urges, porn videos would be good enough, but what you're looking for is some form of attention from a girl that you're attracted to. The way to kick this would be to start developing relationships with girls you're attracted to in real life. You don't have to try to date them all. You can just be their friend like you are with your guy friends. I bet you that developing these connections in real life will make these digital interactions with e-girls feel like a waste of time, comparatively.

I can 100% as i have been struggling with this addiction for 8 years. I spend lost of money over the years(probably close to the price of the cheapest Tesla M3). To this day i am still struggling to overcome it and move on. It have held me back in life(or mostly it could be myself holding me back) and I have been straggling to find a job and take care of myself.

Over the past month i have reached the limit of what i can tolerate. What this addiction do is killing your wealth as its destroys you mentaly too. I will take @I_Am_Strong_54 advise and see if it works for me(tanks for the tips btw ) and @rubiksnerd45 the fact you not used money is a good sign keep up hope u doing well.

 

Clicking away money doesn’t feel the same as handing over physical cash in your hands. I guarantee you if people had to do that with their addictions it would hurt a lot more than it already does.

Agree again. It is destructive.
As an addiction it is even harder (in my opinion) than porn in that it is emotionally flexible. By that I mean your mood is read and sensed by another person wanting to manipulate you (for cash) and hence can adapt faster than you would on a porn site. It is a different experience all together.
Stay away from it. Period.
