Yeah that's one of the issues with this - if I say "don't smack an elephant", what's the first thing you think about? The difference being that you don't have a biological function that tells you to smack elephants. My recommendation would be to essentially ignore NoFap as much as possible and only draw on it when you are feeling urges, and to track your daily check-in when appropriate.
