In addition to being just two days shy of 5 months (big accomplishment in my life), I've accomplished so much more...

    Here you go:

*I was in my first close relationship with a girl... a real girl!

It kinda turned out to be a disaster, but it was fun!

    *I became an Eagle Scout!!!

6 years in the Boy Scouts of America paid off. It was very stressful, and I went through a lot of trials through it, but I'm finally done with the program!

*I started exercising and eating better...

I started a calisthenic routine, for everyday exercise. I'm getting some results, and I'm starting to look much better.

*I got my Provisional Drivers Permit...

I studied a lot to get this, and I passed with a 94% on my first try! Pretty damn good...

    *I turned 18...

I'm ready to grab the bull by the horns in life! I'm learning to drive, hope to hold down a job soon within the next year, and start attending college. Maybe even put away enough money to get a car and/or a place to stay.

    *I gave up social networking

I felt like Facebook and Snapchat had almost become a replacement addiction for PMO. As a birthday gift to myself, I thought it would be best to uninstall/deactivate ALL of my social networking accounts... Goodbye wasted time, hello productivity!!!

I need to remember, to combat these sexual urges I've had recently, I need to remember that these 5 months haven't been for nothing, they've been for something! Something great! This is an example of doing things that are productive instead of PMOing. I am not wasting precious time any more!

    ~Squeaky Soul

    P.S. I'm regaining my might!

Damn that's amazing. I need to take a leaf from your book for sure, especially the bit about not replacing PMO with another wasteful habit. In my case I feel it's been TV series. I need to stop.

    Thanks for this. Great stuff!

    Yes!

I had been feeling super tempted the past few days. But then, in my shower last night, I realized how successful I have been in the past five months. Everything I accomplished! I became super happy, and the urges just vanished!

Thanks everyone for the support. I think the thing I need to do now, is just keep active on this forum.

Good job Squeaky! I wish I would have figured this stuff out when I was your age, instead of over 20 years later. Keep going, stay strong, and you'll be an inspiration to other guys around you.

Looking back on all the things I have done in the past five months, I feel so motivated! More motivated than I've ever felt. So confident too. My amxiety is almost non existent today!

  10. Congratulations @Squeaky Soul
We started almost the same day, but fortunately for you, you realized that you need to quit PMO at 18, i was already 50 :-$
You will take advantage of all the time you gain for productive things, instead of laying in bed and fapping wile watching stupid porn videos
    Keep on fighting

No, he means that I have a beautiful life ahead of me because I've given up PMO and am not really struggling with it.

Dear Squeaky Soul, congratulations on FIVE MONTHS PMO-FREE (hard mode). That surely is a success story. It is especially pleasing to see how many ways your life has been enriched. But there is always a need for caution my friend...
Yes, temptation will still come upon you from time to time. It is good that you can reflect on your achievements and draw strength from them. So, in all respects, I urge you to continue to 'grab the bull by the balls'! Yeah, by the balls man! :p

I have no idea what you mean by that? I wouldn't say you had a bad life, because I don't know anything about you. Therefore I can't tell you how your life was or is.
Are you Squeaky Soul? My comment was meant to congratulate him on his great accomplishments.

To be honest social networking actually doesn't encourage abstinence because sometimes you get bored and tendency to take a break by masturbating from being on social network is likely also even if you are of porn the likely hood to stumble upon it on social network is high and then the image might trigger a brain activity so i experienced that as well so I deactivated all other social networks and still leave my Facebook because I use it as a motivational platform to encourage others from different challenges in life, however when I get carried away I still delete it, then download again when I know I can be focused

Its so true that PMO easily gets replaced with some other addiction and we must be watchful for that. 1st step: get rid of PMO, 2nd step: get rid of all other unhealthy activities, 3rd step: have a great life
