It's time I reach out for help

    I'm a prideful person and didn't want to admit that this had a strong hold on me, and it pains me to say it, but now that I've been trying to quit, I realize that I'm very much addicted to masturbation, porn, fantasy and all this crap. I've had enough with objectifying women for my own selfish pleasure or being in public and looking at women in an inappropriate way (porn glasses). I've had some great women role models in my life, and this behavior... if the great women in my life found out about my addiction, I don't even want to imagine just how ashamed they would be of me. This has to stop so that I can have a real, meaningful relationship with an actual woman. I've always been single and I'm 24. So hello fapstronauts, Im glad to be a part of this community!

    Welcome brother! Start a journal and make sure you post in it every day. You can make a journal by going to forums, reboot logs, then select the correct age range. Journals have really helped me sort through all of my thoughts and to sift through what matters and what doesn't matter, and it just helps me make more sense of my thoughts. Also check out the "Pornfree Radio" Podcast on Itunes by Matt Dobschuetz (https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/pornfree-radio-porn-addiction/id872329779?mt=2). This is a LIFETIME commitment, always remember that. Being porn free is a lifestyle and a way of thinking. You have a big journey ahead of you, but we're all doing this together. Be blessed!

    Thanks Taleah, I appreciate your comment! Im always listening to podcasts, so I was glad to hear about this one. I'll definitely start a journal and commit to making sense of my thoughts and being involved!
