let's talk about MW during reboot.

I have read several threads mention that during the healing process MW will appear more frequently before erection quality improves. I can confirm so far, being at day 35 with some MW from 50-90% here and there while before I had months or maybe even years without MW at all.

    two questions

    1) would you consider this scenario as improved MW: normally going to bed around 10, waking up at 6. what about waking up at around 4 with a heavy boner but the wwake up was because of having to go to the toilet. does this count as MW?

    2) I am tracking my progress in a journal with daily exercise activity, mood and MW quality. do you think this is helpful or would it speed up the healing to not think about it that much, meaning not journaling on a daily basis and instead starting new activities.

A healthy guy will experience several erections during the night, "morning wood" is simply the last in the chain before waking up. What I believe happens is that guys with serious PIED/ED will have no erections whatsoever, all night they will be totally limp but as recovery occurs, the number of erections and how long they last for will increase. So this is why you may find yourself with an erection at 3-4 in the morning but then not one at 6, it shows that you're improving but you're not totally there yet. Whether the waking up coincides with needing to pee or not isn't really relevant, if you have severe PIED then you won't have an erection regardless of why you're waking up.

As for the 2nd point, I'd say it neither helps nor hinder your progress. If you want to track these things then go ahead, just don't get too caught up in them as the recovery process usually isn't a linear one. Sometimes you'll get a few MWs in a row and then they'll disappear again, that doesn't mean you aren't healing, it's just part of the up-and-down nature of reboot.
