In essence this is the addiction. Ask every smoker and all of them say they want to quit, but they can't. This belief and all the excuses are exactly what keeps the addiction alive.

  3. You let your brain down and now it's returning the favor. You need to re-wire. Read The Brain That Changes Itself by Norman Doidge.

To regain motivation you need to create forward momentum in your life as right now your momentum is only going back towards porn. The problem with quitting porn is that although it's a great and positive thing, technically you aren't actually doing anything, you're just not doing something. Along with quitting porn, you need to do something that takes you forward in some other area of your life. This way you will consciously telling your mind that you are moving away from porn, rather than just waiting for porn to move away from you. Don't try and do too much at once as this will almost certainly lead to you doing nothing, just choose one area that you can easily start to improve - usually working out/exercise is the best and easiest one to implement into your daily life.

I've been there brother. I've broken through every block that I've put on myself. Blocks are not the answer. They are useful to slow you down, give you time before you make bad decision, but if you want to relapse, they will never stop you.

I've relapsed over and over despite many words and thoughts given to quitting. I had lost so much motivation, at times considering just giving up. I'd found a method though that really helped me rebuild my internal motivation and drive. It's just a daily journaling method, but it has some specific aspects to it that have really helped me shift my whole internal drive and perspective. When I started I was in the dumps, but after a month I got to 20 days, and right now I am 16 strong, and I have never felt more optimistic and stable, even when I had a 120+ day streak a year ago.

I'll attach a pdf describing it.

  7. Porn releases high dopamine and you get high pleasure as a result. This is the same with cigarettes and drugs. The person who smokes drugs knows the harm but cannot quit. Because he is highly addicted to dopamine.
