Day 25 guys.. Checked my bp casually, astonished at readings 131/83... guess it is sort of a withdrawal symptom? I have a healthy BMI, meditate and workout regularly.. But bothered by the BP readings...

I am experienced person doing Nofap since 4 years, so my suggestion don't worry about the withdrawal symptoms because slowly it will go away, and you have new life waiting.
    Trust me.
I had high BP for 7 months and those months were full of with withdrawal symptoms.
Now, my bp is very normal.

  5. Recently I've noticed both of my blood pressure and sugar are high especially my blood sugar. It's around 200 or so and I was shocked. But in the back of my mind I related it to the effects of flatline and paws.

Is anyone has theirs under control now???

  6. I have them heart palpitations as well. It's like someone beating a drum on top of it.

This thread maybe gave me some answers.
I have been on nofap for 4 years. 2-3 years ago I had nausea and dizziness but it went away after some days. From November I had a streak of 180 days, in February I had 1 week with nausea and vomitting. (I thought it was Vestibular neurotis)
In september this came back so I called my doctor, I told him that it could have something to do with low dopamin lewels because of ADHD and nofap. He measured my bloodpressure it was 184/112, I took a bloodtests and the levels where fine. I workout 4-5 days a week dont drink alcohol, coffe or smoke. I was given some medicine for bloodpressure

Connection is very simple because when u go cold turkey your brain starts producing excess dopamine and stress related chemicals in the brain that's why we go through withdrawal symptoms like fear & anxiety during recovery phase but after being sober for sometimes like 90 days (as per nofap) the brain rebalances those chemical and eventually your BP and other withdrawal symptoms starts getting normal.

Now my BP is fine, but during 1st 80 days my BP was up. So don't worry just drink enough water and exercise, meditate and let brain heal itself then all will fall back normal on it's place.

Also, just have a notice on your diet, avoid too much salt, coffee, Tea, etc and add some fruits & veggies on regular basis to get things normal again. Keep monitoring your BP and if things gets out of control then see a Cardiologist because BP is something which should not be neglected and no one is a Dr. here.

In the end I will only say that all these symptoms during NOFAP subsides with time if you persist yourself on this NOFAP journey.

This totally makes sense and thanks to everyone who shared their experience!

Since going through withdrawal my BP has been up (this has never happened before) and also my hiatal hernia is bothering me after no symptoms since my teenage years. I'm grateful to God that he gave me the sense to go see a doctor and now I'm getting better, eating healthy and I renewed my swimming membership after several years.

Compulsive PMO does take a toll on your health and yes I agree with the comments here about how it can mess you up in different ways

May God help us in this journey for our brains to heal!

Withdrawals brings a lot of things which we keep ignoring while we PMO for longer time, Once we stop PMO then our senses comes back & we realize what hell we have been doing with our body, Don't worry as I am the one who started this topic of high BP as withdrawal as many people ignored this but once u go on longer streak you will notice your BP will adjust again to normal. Now I am doing fine with BP & all going good now.

Same here, it seems to be a real effect.
It may be because we are under stress and that causes the walls of the blood vessels to contract causing an increase in blood pressure.
Some of the common blood pressure drugs in fact target the receptors in the blood vessel walls to block this action.
It should pass eventually as the stress of withdrawal decreases and you get back to a normal body chemistry. This common blood pressure medicine is called an Angiotensin Receptor Blocker, and a common BP medicine which does this is Karvea. Don't fret, it will pass.
