Martial Self Improvement Quote of the Day:

What does it mean (to me) to be a capoeirista?
Someone put this question to me recently, so here’s what I came up
    with:
= To play with and enjoy the energy of your camaradas.
= To conduct yourself well in the roda and in the world.
= To respect your fellow capoeiristas and all other people.
= To be always learning and growing.
= To face your fears and weaknesses, and overcome them.
= To keep a cool head under pressure.
= To be ready to fight if you have to.
= To oppose oppression and strive for freedom.
= To learn about the history, traditions and philosophy of capoeira.
= To express yourself through your body.
= To train hard and push yourself beyond perceived limits.
    = To experience Afro-Brazilian culture.
    = To share knowledge.
= To be a musician and a singer.
= To be wary, cunning, playful, courageous, shrewd, spontaneous,
    unpredictable, ready.
    = To flow.
= To avoid arrogance, envy, loss of temper.

Hey man, I like your post.

I had an interview today with GKR Karate. I got a call back to say I've got the job. I get to get paid to learn karate!! As well as some other stuff of course. It's a management course to promote GKR karate to as many people as possible.

I've always wanted to learn a martial art and I studied business at college and have never really been able to use it. Now I get to apply to skills I learnt at college as well as learn karate!

I was sitting in my flat and getting tempted to watch porn. I thought I'd better check out NoFap and the first thing i stumble across in the forums was this!

Thanks for sharing. All the best

    Sweet deal man!

  15. I have had experience in basic boxing and taekwondo a couple years back but I've only gotten back into martial arts ever since I started my nofap jounrey which also made me think about self improvement and start to take it seriously, I currently train in Muay Thai, its always been one of my favourite marital art styles which effectively combines both the principles of the styles that I briefly trained in the past.

Great Post. I do wing-chun about more than a year. I find it very helpful in totality of my life. For example, the first form of wing chun is called Siu Lim Tao which means '' Triying to minimize your thinking'' in english. This mind set is very useful for rebooting because most of the time old thinking patterns about pmo and thinking itself is the main cause that driving an addict to the edge. Also principles like Wu Sao which in basic means '' Do not engage '' or '' Let it go'' helps a lot to get rid of unwanted disturbing thoughts efforlessly. The philosophy of martial arts is a definite life saver for sure. Also a high quality workout for mind and body.
