    Day 0, again.

    I came home from the aforementioned trip, and was tired after a long day on busses, flights and trains.
    But the more pressing issue was that i wasen’t aligned with my goals, i didn’t have a plan for the night and the next days to get closer to them, which i normally do.
    This dosen’t usually happen, but after a long trip like this it sometimes does.

    So when the thoughts glimpsed in my mind, i didn’t do anything, and just got carried away by them and relapsed.

    Luckily, i dont have many of these trips, but there are some, and in those cases i have to have a plan, so i can stay on track.

    The rationalisationen i used to make it ok in the moment was that i dosen’t resllt affect my goals. But it does. It affects my entire life. Everything i do.

    So im full of hope and exitement, to get rid of this thing. Because i know i can. It will be painful at times, but we heal everytime we say no.

    I hate the fact I got defeated again. So the best course of action for me now is that I will be going on a digital detox for a week or so and check in when I'll be back.

    Never ever peek! Or even "Just Google this hot (porn) actress". You just reactivate the porn pathways and that alone already counts as a relapse. I think a lot of people misinterpret that you just should not watch a porn video. It is much much deeper and broader than that! Everything you do that remotely resembles the act or even pursuit of something related to porn is a reactivation of the addictive behavior.

    Try again my friend and be tough, honest and forgiving to yourself. This will be one of the hardest things you'll ever do in life.

    What lead to the relapse? Did you see a hot actress on IG? Did you peek? Did you feel lonely? Identify the trigger and replace the bad behavior with a better one or at least less bad. So instead of watching porn when feeling lonely / sad go masturbate, eat something you like (preferrably not junk food) or ideally go for a walk

    Today is a new milestone in my recovery gentlemen!! I've reached the 100 day mark!!

    Just to emphasize what I find of paramount importance and where I failed on many times before on almost all my previous streak. My "No Porn" streak is more than just not watching porn video's. It is about kicking the behavior, the pathways in my brain that (over)stimulated my reward / dopamine system in brain for many many years.

    My rules
    - No porn websites, videos, images
    - No websites where even remotely porn / erotic images can (accidentally) pop up
    - No "normal" websites / webshops where I could look at the bikini section
    - No use of IG, Snapchat or any other social media app/website that could (accidentally) show even remotely erotic related content
    - No peeking, not even "Just Google this but don't click the link" kind of things: It is a relapse / reactivation of the habbit / behavior

    I do masturbate but I've noticed that sometimes I have a very light version of the side effects of watching porn so I only do it once a week on average.

    Additional improvements
    Porn is just one of many artifically created superstimuli that we now have to deal with in our lives that overstimulates / overloads our dopamine driven reward system in our brains that leads to (mid)long term side effects. So my other life style improvements I maintain (some for 10 or even over 20 years now):

    - Go for daily walks: at least 2-3 15-20 min walks
    - Go to the gym 4x a week
    - Go out dancing for 2-3x a week
    - Don't play video games
    - Only watch movies / series with friends / in social settings
    - Don't watch TV
    - Don't use social media or spend loads of time on the Internet: this forum is the only forum I am active on since I believe it adds value to myself and others
    - Don't eat any ultra processed foods: I never eat deepfried foods, nor candy, crisps, cookies, cake, desserts or any beverage that has sugar (not even the "freshly made" fruit juices: it's processed, concentrated sugars without the necessary fibers)
    - Read books instead of watching tv / play video games
    - Meditate

    Benefits
    I can now sum up a long list of all the usual benefits that everyone knows so I just point out the things that really made a difference:
    - Less / no brain fog and grogginess
    - More motivated and sharp at work, gym, learning new stuff
    - More (sexual) self control and reduced urges / irritating fantasies: I just feel more in control, stable and competent sexually
    - Restored sensitivity to women in real life: I enjoy / feel more turned on by a great smile or more subtle queues women do / give like flicking their hair, looking at you in a certain way than ever before. Cannot report (yet) on how sex with a real woman is, but I'm dating 2 nice ladies now so I hope I can experience that in the near future.
    - Porn is out of my habit: I never ever even remotely think of opening my browser and go to a porn website. I don't have any blockers on my pc, I just don't feel interested anymore... It is just not worth it.

    First: Education = motivation. Don't try to just do it because you find them necessary but study / read / watch about a subject and become motivated and interested about it.
    Second: Don't do all the things at the same time, start with one and work on that (see "first") for a while and then move on adding the next one.
