Continuous head tension/senation?

Discussion in 'Rebooting - Porn Addiction Recovery' started by Deleted Account, Oct 15, 2018.

  1. Yes, not a headache for me too, but a disturbing tension in my forehead, backof skull. It just wont let me concentrate on say studying or working on computer. It gets exaggerated to the point of unbearable that i have to shut down whatever i am doing and find something else to calm down. And anxiety? Its needles panics and unreasonable discomfort when iam outside among ppl. My hands and feet are all soaked in sweat and all embarassing. I just feel amused and laugh at myself.

  2. But one thing i have noticed over the month with me is, this all gets over after 5 and half hour(from the time i wake up frm sleep) 5 and half hour and i slowly feel testesterone levels rise in me dramatically, and i become something else. I swear. This happens everyday. I not just loose my anxieties and all, but i become confident to the point of arrogance. Head tension however remains.

  3. Dont mind me jabbering, but this tension relieves when iam engaged in say, eating, browsing a forum like this, social media(i dnt have one). I guess it will recede if i play video games too, alas i dont, never. Anything boring, unexciting and cognitively demanding will intensify this symptom(for me). This leads me to conclude, this is withdrawl symptom arising of dopamine starvation. Notice how the pain ceases when you are engaged in dopamine rewarding activity(eating, social media, dancing cat videos on youtube) but ask this sucker to engage in work that is important, it will register with tension, unbearable "headache", pain. There is left no argument but to be convinced that this is the direct result of lack of stimulation and our brain not wanting to do anything that is not immediately rewarding. I hope it doesent last too long. I ve got a lot of work to finish.

  4. Anything other than potentially long term rewarding; say, physical exercise, diet, fill in the blank. You are steering towards wrong direction. I dare you have sex/orgasm, you vl be digging your own grave. Yes? you eat junk food, browse social media, that is your brain is getting its relief hit of dopamine through these short term pleasure. Your "headache" will be relieved (temporarily) during the time you are engaged in the rewarding act; but the moment you disengage, your pain will return with intensity. I am pretty sure, what you find this reward in is going to be key. I'd rather lock myself in, disconnected, focusing on my work, enduring the pain, than let my mind pleasure itself with unwise short term dopamine hits(facebook, toxic frienddgroup, drugs, etc). See, because what we let ourselves be pleasured by is going to determine what habits we pick going forward and who we become. Where dopamine is released is where the mind will want to go.

  5. So, try pleasuring yourself with what you should not and see where that leads you(during withdrawl phase). The price you ll pay for ignoring my words.

This sensation has been really intense for me in the last week, but it's worse today than it has ever been. I have a weird feeling of pressure that starts in my temples and cheekbones, radiates across my forehead, and culminates between my eyes. This is accompanied by sharp, shooting pains all over my head. I also have this weird sensation that feels like the skin on my face and head are constantly moist and hot, and the only way I can describe that is it feels like my head is in a sauna. I'm randomly getting sharp pains in my teeth too, which I've seen a lot of other people mention experiencing during withdrawals and rewiring.

I'm having a lot of other weird symptoms too, and I've also been having a lot of very vivid dreams lately. I'm hoping that this is a sign that I'm on the verge of a major rewiring breakthrough. I think it could be that because my urges have reduced significantly in the last month.

  14. Good resurrected post. This has to be a withdrawal symptom. I experienced it early on. It felt like my face was changing, which it has interestingly enough. I'm somewhat convinced as we go through our NoFap experiences that proverbial "second puberty" is actually a real thing. It's like your body is finishing up the much needed masculine growth that gets suppressed with MO and PMO. And to touch on the vivid dreams, this is very much a nice byproduct of retention. My dreams are always very vivid.

That's really weird, because some of these sensations I'm feeling in my head and face are very similar to what I feel when I use LSD. I know that LSD and MDMA are both serotonin agonists, so these weird head and face sensations that people feel during their reboots must have something to do with the rebalancing of neurotransmitters or their receptors.
