  4. here is a bit of help for you. just try it its just a seven minute exercise to get back to your real self. its not eastern meditation, its more then standing back from your thought's. http://antidoteforall.com/

  5. You already are a real man. You just expressed yourself to strangers more intimately than most would do. Thats not only admirable, but commendable as well.

Of course, if you abstain from all this porn and masturbation, your brain will recover over time.

I want you to know your not alone in this. We all go through similar pain. No more sadness, guilt, shame, regret or anger. Thats for other people.

Unplug and get outside. Sink your bare feet into the dirt and breathe again. Its all good. Everything that has happened up to this point is not a waste, at all. You have gained so much learning, so much knowledge in these mental trials. Once you start applying this knowledge, you will be using wisdom. As wisdom is the timely application of knowledge.

I see you succeeding Duke. I see a strong light shining right back at the sun. Change your avatar pic Duke, I want to see something positive, I mean that.

The sun follows every dark night.

All of this is possible. Yes, you can recover. Yes, you can find your girl. Yes, you can succeed. You are on the right path. You have recognized the problem which is half the solution. You are way ahead of so many that don't even know that PMO is causing them a problem. The fact that you are aware, gives you the chance to solve the problem. You always have a choice. You are not your story! Lifelong struggle that makes you dig deep within transforming you into a man/soldier/spartan.

Stay active on the forum. There are so many awesome people here that are ready to help at all times. Stay strong! Win!

Read this golden post that will greatly help you on your journey!

I agree with what has already been said. You can overcome! As for how long it will take, that varies with different people, but you should start seeing at least some improvement relatively soon. You didn't say how often you fap, but if it's really a lot, and you suffer from genital exhaustion, your libido should return within several days to a few weeks. Your profile says that you're 22, so you should be able to make a full physical recovery as soon as your body gets a rest. The metal recovery from the porn addiction is tougher and takes longer, but that, too, is very possible with enough dedication. Fortunately, not fapping provides a boost in motivation. NoFap is definitely here to help you. That's what it's for! You're in the right place.

You absolutely can recover. It's going to be hard. There will be many set-backs. You will need to not beat yourself up about the set backs. There will be many victories too. You will need to celebrate the victories. Gradually replace porn with better dopamine releasing activities (exercise, meditation, work, etc) and you will change your entire life.

Go on yourbrainonporn.com for more tips.

You CAN DO IT! And you will!

Would setting a counter be helpful for you? It has been for me. I can talk you through the set-up process if you like.

Take it one day at a time, because that's a lot easier than "forever." Each morning when you first awaken, promise yourself out loud several times, "I will not masturbate, today." Worry about tomorrow tomorrow. No man beginning fapstinence is strong enough to face "forever" all at once, but anybody can go without fapping for just one day. It's a process. Also, be aware that a great many of us have relapsed multiple times, learned from those occasions, and still gone on to achieve success. If you should relapse, please don't beat yourself up or get suicidal. Just go right back into fapstinence like nothing happened. If you don't use it as an excuse to go on a binge, you won't lose nearly all of your mental progress achieved so far. Stay in touch by posting regularly. We're here to help. May God bless.

Yes nofap is a good start. Also take meditation, grounding, exercising and other such practices that will boost you like crazy...back to normal of course. I can give you a full list of things you can do if you want, in pm.

Duke, you can do it, we believe in you!

    Some instructions

First, be nice to yourself; Forgive yourself for your old ways as this is a part of every human. Second, be nicer to yourself; When you think you are being nice, I think you deserve a break.

Finally, Optimistic-Pessimism, watch out for potential obstacles ahead of time. including bad thoughts. Thus, again, we believe in you, and its going to be hard and worthwhile!

Also, I agree with JoePineapples, get a counter.

Yes! Your brain is addicted to the rushes of dopamine that it gets from porn, masturbation, and orgasm. If you stop feeding the addiction, your brain will eventually rewire or reboot back to its default setting--able to experience sexuality naturally without the addiction. Watch this video for a more complete explanation:

There's no reason to believe that you can't! Follow the no-PMO reboot and stay engaged with us at NoFap for support. That isn't to say that it's super easy, but thousands of men have accomplished it with enough decisive self-motivation. The greatest thing is that motivation increases dramatically as one of the benefits of no-PMO.
