    It is true that the mind will always seek to prove itself right.
    If you say your bad at sport for example you generally will be and you'll have no desire or motivation to change that as it is a firm belief in your mind that you hold to be true.

    In the same way NoFap is no different. If we tell ourselves things like:
    Its very difficult and we cannot do it and its the hardest thing in the world - then it will become so.

    You might want to look into the Law of Attraction for the answer to this question. It's all over the Internet. What you focus your attention upon you will draw to you. It's what made the movie "The Secret" so popular.

    The late Napoleon Hill said: “Whatever your mind can conceive and believe the mind can achieve regardless of how many times you may have failed in the past.” It's one of the most famous inspirational quotes on the power of positive thinking.

    Look up Jerry and Esther Hicks, Wayne Dyer, Christy Whitman on YouTube. They all have some great stuff. I think there is a small cost for the movie "The Secret."

    Sounds like you're asking some really great questions. Don't stop looking for the answers.

    @PhakePhakerson This is exactly what got so many people in trouble with "The Secret." I can manifest a million dollars right here on my old beat up sofa by just believing. No! Belief is only the start. Without action there can be no result. Sorry, maybe I left that part out.

    I missed the action bit out haha, but yeah I'm obviously not saying whatever you believe will come true - if you believe something to be deeply true you are a lot more likely to find ways to take action to make it happen (positive or negative) and prove yourself (your belief) right.
    As Boomer said "belief is only the start"

    Very astute observation. Thoughts can be either positive or negative. The mind can't tell the difference and it will follow any lead. It operates 24/7 whether we're aware of it or not. You can live into something that is negative as easily as something that is positive.
