Took a cold shower today. As odd as it may sound my body feels much warmer and more easy to tolerate the cold. My hands and feet don't feel cold at all turning the day. Not to mention my skin feels healthier. It's a total discipline thing. It sets that mentality of doing something you don't want to do. There are plenty of days where I don't want to take a cold shower but I do it anyways. It sets the tone for the day. Now that we're in winter the pipes are cold and the water is probably 50 degrees or colder. It feels amazing.

  3. I am getting cold showers for the last three days. Yeah. They make you feel really really good. But my family keeps on criticising me for that. As its winter here, they keep saying that you will get cold and all that. Honestly speaking I am going through the most critical phase of my life. I am preparing for the medical college entrances and I don't want to fall ill now..... I am now comfortable with the cold showers and I am enjoying them but I fear. What should I do? Please help.

    There is no correlation
Sorry I meant to allaborate more but there is no correlation between the body being cold and actually getting sick. Cold showers actually boost your immune system

  6. Yes, YES, I agree with everything you say! Actually, I just talked about cold showers in my journal and how I plan on implementing them into my daily morning routine. I've experienced it before and they're awesome! :D

Ultimately, it's because it's a pure example of fighting through urges for benefits later on. That's exactly how NoFap is, who doesn't want benefits? Unfortunately, not everyone has the discipline, willpower, dedication and self-control to fight for the benefits, especially over long periods of time.

When you step into the cold showers, you're gonna hesitate, you're gonna wanna bail, but don't. Feel the ice-cold energy blast through your body, feel every newton of force. It will not only provide benefits for your body and mind, but it will also train your mind to handle tough situations for good outcomes. Recommend it to everyone, good luck!

I am terrified but intrigued by the thought of cold showers. As a sufferer of dry skin i know for a fact that it will help me and yet...

    So be it.

I WILL BEGIN ON THE MORROW.

Today, it will be my 4th day taking cold showers. I realised that taking cold shower was about fighting agains excuses. Yesterday, before stepping in the cold shower I tried to convince myself that it was too cold in the house to take a cold shower, that I will get sick and so on. And then everything seemed clear for me, my brain tries to make excuses for not doing the tasks I am not comfortable with.
It is the same in my life, my brain always tells me not to do some things because they look to dangerous, because I don't know how to do it, because it's probably not worth it.
What I will try to do now is to stop listening to this voice that keeps me in my comfort zone and live my life!

The urges and thoughts really hit me hard this morning, so i had to change things up a bit.

I don't know why, but when I took the cold shower today, I left the lights off. I don't recommend doing this because its dangerous and really stupid, but I enjoyed every minute of it.

I felt the darkness and cold were interwoven into one, and it consumed me. In a way I felt very liberated, and I didn't want to leave.

Cold showers help dry skin so much. When you take hot showers your pores open up and the oils in your skin release. Cold showers keep the pores closed and your skin nice and smooth.

That's what it's all about brother. If you can do the little things, the big things will come naturally.

Keep fighting the urges brother! I took a cold shower while listening to metal (other days it's classical music). I like the contrast. Maybe I'll do it in the dark. Does the dark shutting off off the sense of sight help you feel the sensations more?

Yes. I listened to Aerials by System while I was sitting in the shower today. I've never felt more drive in my life.

So I'm taking 'cold' showers for a while now. I can only take them by starting somewhat warm ±25 and ending below 20 like ±15 probably. I went below that today, and my hands and feet started to hurt BAD as well as my scalp, and I started to feel a sharp headache. It didn't feel healthy at all. Anyone else had this? I have a feeling just below 20 is cold enough for me.

I took the plunge this morning and let me tell you!... It was rather chilly.

    The sum of my experience:

    • Cold showers will now be a part of my morning ritual.
    • @Macabre is right and i could take down an army singlehanded after getting out. (Pumped to face the day)
    • There is no fog on the mirror :D
    • Great for my dry skin
    • I will spend less time wasting water in the shower
    • Last but not least PMO is impossible since i can no longer feel my genitals!

    Carry on soldiers!,
