So after a fap session today, I felt the waves of remorse and thoughts of "what am I doing?" that have become a daily standard in my life. I came across NoFap the other day while searching for porn on Reddit, and I browsed it a little to see what it was about (first thinking it was another NSFW Subreddit). Not that today was any different from any day, but after watching some more aggressive porn than I thought I would be used to, I thought to myself "am I a pervert now?" and this led me back to the NoFap.

I gave up alcohol 44 days ago, and although that has felt great it wasn't the solution I was looking for. It actually was the rug which concealed another bigger problem, my sex and porn addiction. I'm beginning to see a therapist about all of the above, but I figured now is the right time to take matters into my own hands (resist pun, resist pun) and start on my way to recovery. I have a new determination to tackle my problems and face them head on, so I decided to reboot.

What I want out of this: To feel energized again. To be able to work from home and be productive, and not masturbate 2-3 times while getting the bare minimum of work done. To be able to focus again on my career. To regain control of my motivation and attention. To not give in to self-indulgence anymore. To be a better friend, boyfriend, and human being.

In the spirit of being a new fapstronaut, here's to liftoff!

@starboardrower. welcome to NoFap. This is a terrific community with lots of support, advice and encouragement. I find that stopping by here once a day gives me the opportunity to express myself, catch up with some folks, stay in touch. It really helps.

Just remember what motivation you have now so you can pull it up when an urge shows up.
