The biggest challenge for me is that my life revolves around being on the computer and having access to the internet. It's like temptation is knocking around the door every second. But the way I handled the whole journey was.

    1) Get through the day without relapsing.
    2) If I relapse start again and don't beat yourself over it (very important!) and attempt your previous streak.
    3) If I didn't relapse double your previous streak by 2 and make that you're new goal.
    4) If I relapse start again and don't beat yourself over it (very important!) and attempt your previous streak.
    5) repeat...etc.

    Well you get the jist.

What happened was 1 day became 2 days became 4 days became a week, two weeks, then a month. I'd say after 45 days the feeling of addiction wears off and then it's smooth sailing. The biggest secret I found is to not beat yourself over relapsing and accept it as natural and it's just a measure of your previous set point that you need to surpass on you next try....

    I hope that helps!!!

Honestly for me growing up with porn really early and just assuming it was normal to look at it daily. When you step outside of that world you realize there's more important things. I initially started because I had an ED issue a few times with girls (due to porn and probably not really being attracted on physical or emotional level) and didn't want to have that experience again.

I never had a problem with girls per se, but rebooting has made me less "thirsty" for girls e.g. I'm not looking to always hook up with girls. I'm not caring about fucking girls all the time, I don't see every girl as possible lay, i care more about myself and my goals compared to being liked by girls, I can just be myself, and for some reason that makes you more attractive to girls. Honestly being able not to give a fuck and not looking like a needy weak bitch is best superpower to come from this. Also waking up with a boner almost everyday is validation that rebooting works.

Why you decided to do nofap? Were fetishes involved? If yes, are they gone now? Would you consider yourself to be a really badly addicted to PMO?

It was the ED man... the goddamn ED....

No serious fetishes... I would just say general porn.

I was every 1-2 day porn user but maybe for maybe like an hour. I still think that's way too much... I would go to porn when I was frustrated about something that didn't go my way to take the edge off. And surprisingly I wouldn't even think about porn when I was busy, or doing something constructively or just generally happy in the moment. So going nofap taught me to deal with my frustrations more constructively. And my ED is gone (it was gone like at day 45...but I wanted to see how long I can go).

    I hope that helps...

Thanks! Just take it one day at a time and don't beat your self up when you relapse. Just shoot for your previous best and add one or two more days to it.

I´d like to know when did you start to feel this way? I mean I still have some issues to completely let it go and don´t give a shit about girls.. you know what I mean.

Anyway, great work, I am gonna do this also!

I mean that's hard to quantify. Circumstances, experiences and where you are at life play a role in this. I had an internal conversation to myself and said "Well... what do I want in life?" Sometimes having massive failures is a good a wake up call to change. Just starting the program and focusing on your priorities (mind, body, goals, etc.) above your "needs" is a big step.

You have to ask yourself - "Are girls hampering me from the best person that I can be?" If so just take a break. You'll then be at a point where girls are adding something to your life rather than hampering it because you got your shit together.

Changing your mindset takes time. The program helps in that regard.
But you'll still need to change your mindset and values to start treating yourself as #1.

    I hope that helps.

    Fantastic achievement!
Can I ask - when you say "hard mode" do you mean you avoided all forms of sexual stimulation for a year? I am planning a 90 day monk mode and that is daunting enough!

Thank you very much for such reply.

You know, I have been experiencing something similar as you are talking about. Change mindset, take a break. Thats what I need most adn I have been working on it and knowing this is not something we can change overnight but only with constant work on ourselfs. And I am finally seeing the light in the tunnel, I know where to go. Seperate myself from my needs and instead of that going through the road that is not easy but have a great fruits in the end.

You are a great inspiration for me, thank you once more!

That damn ED Got me too. I think I'd be jacking it right now if my d*ck didn't go limp. What an awful feeling. I wouldn't wish that on anyone and I truly hope those that still suffer from it find their morning wood again. But more importantly find a real woman (or man if that's your style) to have real sex with and not "processed" sex off of a video screen. Good luck fellow non-fappers.
