    Hey everyone

I thought I will write down some tips for successfull rebooting here, so I can read them when I will have urges or to maybe help someone. Now I am nowhere near succeeding my reboot, so I will post here maybe once a week to give some more tips. Ok, so let's go:

    0) Before we start, you need to be determined, believe in yourself, and not get too cocky! You need to have a goal, set one, and try to accomplish it. Without this, any other tips are useless. You need to psychologically sort thing out for ya. I suggest to read some articles of how brain works and how porn addiction works to fully understand the proccess of rebooting.

    1) First of all, if you think that just abstaining from masturbation will be enough, I can tell you right away that it's not true. Now this is coming from a guy that thought this exactly at the start. Porn maybe doesn't have such negative effects as O, so what is the deal? Deal is, that it will make your reboot a lot harder. Used to watch porn, and be like: ,,I will just watch it, and will not masturbate" But sooner or later, you won't hold yourself and fall into PMO again. Of course, maybe there are some people with strong will power that can stay clean even with P. But believe me, most of us will have to give up P to succesfully reboot. That's why I advise you to go hard mode no matter what.

    2) Music greatly helps, it can distract you and take your mind off things. Music can be a great helper. If you have a problem listening to songs with explicit lyrics, I advise you to stay away from them. Now I never had this problem but I saw couple of guys on the forum that had this problem, so do what suits you best.

    3) One of my recent discoveries how to make urge go away is to go to the living room and be with my family. Just watch TV, or be there and talk with them. This is a great helper and really works for me.

    4) Cold showers. Enough said. However, I usually get cold from them (like sick) so I found a way how to do them. I take a warm bath first and then I can shower with just colder water than water in warm bath, and it will feel cold for my body, however the real ,,cold level" is not so high so I won't get sick.

    5) Move. Exercise. Do stuff. Just move. The worst thing you can do is to lay on the bed and hope the urge will go away.

    6) Find some activity that will fullfill your time. For me it's videogames right now and it's helping me a lot.

    7) Learn to distinquish the brain fooling you into getting more dopamine (watching P mostly) and tell yourself you don't want this, that's why you are on Nofap right! FFS

    8) AP! Accountability partner. It is a huge advantage and you can meet awesome friends here, believe it or not.

    9) Lastly, get some sleep. It will make you feel more alive. Which reminds me. I need to go sleep, it's almost 1 AM here, well, I still have to fight this one.

Thanks for reading. I will post here weekly I guess. To remind myself all the tricks to overcome this addiction and maybe help someone.

    Vol. 2

    1) Breathing technique. Whenever you feel an urge, breathing in heavily with your nose and then breath out with your mouth open. Repeat this until the urge goes completely away. It even helped me to fight off morning wood which is great!

    2) Even if you think that you are completely safe (let's say you are on the day 25) and you are like yeah, I got this. DON'T EVER LET YOUR GUARD DOWN. Urge will strike most hardly when you won't expect it at all. That's why it is crucial to always watch your back.

    3) Staying out with your friends more. It can help you as well. I have been home most of these holidays and at the end I kinda missed all my friends and couldn't get myself to any work.

    4) Listen to motivating music. This one really helped me out. Used to listen to sad music mostly, which afterwards obviously made me sad. So now I listen to motivating music and it keeps me motivated! Youtube is full of motivating music playlists.
