I'll keep it short. I'm on one of my longest streaks which by the way is not that long. I do feel overwhelmed by the urges. But I don't care about them, what makes me feel weird is the fact that I feel I've been just abstaining from PMO but actually nothing has changed internally. I feel like I'm just postponing the inevitable which leads to the question where it all started.

In my opinion , you havent maybe put effort into making your life better . Abstaining from porn will give you more energy , and mind clarity but will not change your life . You should build good habits while recovering from this addiction ! You say that you are postponing the "inevitable " wich means you are willing to relapse subconsciously, it means that when you gonna do it , you"ll say " i knew that's gonna happen " , however just that you are now on a long strike means you can do it . My only advise is and no im not someone you should really listen to or an expert but this was the best advise i've actually heard : focus on building the new and not fighting the old . Make your life more enjoyable( workout , read , yoga .. ) and follow your dreams and eventually P will have no place in your life ! I wish you the best of luck !

Listen bro, if you don't want to change, you WILL NEVER CHANGE. You have to understand well the perils of PMO, this can't just be some game you're playing. It may indeed be hard, and all the "superpowers" people rant about might not come for weeks or months but you should be fulfilled by the simple fact that you are strong enough to quit. You have to realize that you're the FUCKING MAN for rising above the masses, stepping out in faith onto a track so few men are strong enough to even knowledge. For a lot of guys PIED is what drives them to quit but you don't have to wait for something bad to happen.

I hope this helps. Good luck bro,

That is a sign that you are only abstinent, but you are not building up new skills.

It is important that you start daily habits which will change your life and make it more fulfilled and meaningful.

It startd with knowing what you want.
What are your goals, what are your plans?

Then implement daily routines like this:
    • Daily fulfilled work (something which is really fulfilling you and which is on your planned route)
    • Daily social contacts to family & friends
    • Daily short meditation ("showering the soul")
    • Daily sports
    • Daily exercising / practising of things you want to learn
    • Daily healthy life
    • Daily enough sleep

@tarixo I don't want to ever come back. But I find myself coming here really often and I'm freakingly annoyed by the time I'm spending thinking about this crap. I've been literally trying to study all day long, but somehow my thoughts come back to it. Luckily I come here and don't go other way. But damn! When I was into PMO I was free of it till I came back. Now I just feel like this is the only thing I'm thinking. I've seen threads by people who have been clean for 180 days (way more than me) that relapsed and I'm questioning myself if the whole thing is just waiting. I mean, I started this not because I was there all day long, I noticed that even if it was not a lot of time I just couldn't stop myself from thinking about it and coming back. Now I'm thinking about it way more often. Will this ever go away?

@SnowWhite I haven't tried to schedule the things but as I said, I've tried to study. I even did some exercise go get rid of the thoughts but they come as easily as they go

@Matthew5:28 Don't get me wrong. I want to change, it's just that I feel weird about this. Lots of things come through my head and I just want to let this be part of my past but somehow I keep making it part of my present. Don't want to relapse, but I don't want to make every day a fight between me and my inner self.

Sorry for the walls of text

@ThEMrDiSLiKe As a whole, don't expect too fast changes.
You need to practise every day. it always takes 2-4 weeks, until you feel a real progress. And every 2-3 monhs you feel a bigger step.

Therefore, just be patient and be trustful that a daily routine will eventually settle.
For example, try to begin with a daily short meditation of 10 minutes, and do it for 30 days.
