Sex scenes in movies & tv shows??

I'm right with you Ultra Zork, that's exactly how it started for me too. I would purposely buy movies with nude scenes for that exact reason. I didn't start watching porn until a year or 2 later. Even as recent as a year ago I searched out nude scenes for that reason.

As long as you can recognize that there is nudity in the scenes for the telling of the story in the movie (as long as it's not gratuitous nudity) or show then it's probably okay. But when you start getting aroused by it or seek out that movie or scene for that reason, you begin to have problems and need to abstain from any nudity until you can recognize that it isn't in the movie for you to choke your chicken to it.

abood, maybe you should get an accountability buddy, or try sex addicts anonymous so that you have someone to reach out to BEFORE you act out. Everyone has to cut out the triggers that affect them most. I am learning that. Since you keep searching for images, it seems like you need to address that behavior.

If you searched intentionally you could ask yourself what could have caused that mood you were in that led you to believe you'd require this kind of 'reward'. That's at least what I try to do.

Whether or how you reacted on the trigger itself (here: nudity thumbnail) is something I believe is often overrated...
One tends to feel relieved in case e.g. not having MO-ed hereafter but in my experience it is often just edging or suppression which will eventually lead to relapse.
To find the root of the cause can help to fix the underlying need and actually prevent further relapses.

Absolutely spot on! This is exactly what self control is about.

A lesser option of self control could be to change the channel or look away!

You have to be prepared to be able to withstand nudity as it will come across your path for the rest of your life in different forms ie; pop up ads, colleagues or students leaving some psubs to play a prank on you, a magazine you accidentally pick up, TV, people in the street etc the list is endless.

I think a key sign to recovery is when you can control the situation - you cannot monk mode P psubs entirely out of your life.

 

Another sign i can add is that I joined a dating site and usually i would sit and edge or perv on the girls or sext them. If i dont get responses am not bothered. None of that has gone on. I've ignored the clevage pics... I have actually skipped the profiles of such women because to me they dont have self respect yet flaunt their trash and claim guys are after one thing.

I joined the site late last night and today is day 82 for me.

 

If you did it deliberately, I would say it is. If it was a complete accident, then don't worry about it. Just try to avoid it in the future.

Unless you move to a monastery, you are always going to be surrounded by arousing images. You can not change the world, but you can change yourself. You want to work on your self, so that at some point in the future those images just don't have the same impact on you. Blinkers not required.

 

This sounds perfectly normal to me. I know I used to search specific movies and I knew exactly where all the 'good' scenes were on the movies. I think as long as you are fast forwarding through them you are making progress
