    What have we done?

How have we as humans allowed for an industry as vile as pornagraphy to arise? When you stop and think about it, the industry, those are our brothers and sisters in humanity! We often ask ourselves the classic question "what if our actually biological brothers or sisters went into porn" but all those porn stars, all those trapped in the sex industry, THEY ARE OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS!

Do not believe the lies for a damn second. No one enters porn by choice. No 5 year old kid aspires to be a porn star.

And hear this, every time you watch one of those videos, every time you click on a porn site- you support the further enslavement of those innocent lives, all those sons and daughters, trapped in the industry.

I don't care how hard this thing is. If you agree with what I've just said than you better BUCK UP and throw all shit out of your life.

All people on this planet are worthy of love. The problem is those girls in porn (as you'll learn 99 times out of 100) weren't shown the love they deserved as children. So frequently do they come from abusive or one-parent homes. So where do they go looking for it? Unfortunately, the answer is too often porn. The pimps swoon young girls by telling them "oh you're so pretty! oh you'd perfect for a modeling shoot I'm doing" and before you know it, they're living the lives that we can only fathom in our worst nightmares.

I'll reiterate- everytime you watch porn, you support the further ENSLAVEMENT of these young girls. Wherever there is a demand, you better believe there will be a supply.

So I ask you, don't contribute to the demand. You are capable of putting these demons behind you. People lived for thousands of years without porn, so can you.

Not that I don't agree with your excellent point, but, to be fair, people lived millennia without *internet* porn. There was still erotic paintings, drawings, stories, plays, songs, dances, art, and objects.
People have always had the desire to see other people naked and having sex. It's the way that we go about it that has changed. It's a bad combination of a number of things (bad and good) that is unique to our current society and time that have caused the creation of porn addiction.
When something that humans enjoy for its mental and physical stimulation is made too easy to access, it ALWAYS causes ADDICTION.

You make this bold statement @Matthew5:28, yet offer no supporting research. Or do you claim a divine revelation!

Let's just take webcams as one form of popular high-speed internet porn. These are very often broadcast by people that are exhibitionists. Often they are girls (or boys) at college, supplementing their meagre income. I have met numerous people on this site who have broadcast live: masturbating, fingering, using sex toys. Others on these sites actually have sexual intercourse (but I haven't personally spoken to anyone who has had sex on screen). The point is, that people pay money to see the boy or girl 'perform' for them - willingly and to specific requests! Your argument would have greater strength if you stuck to the facts, rather than making sweeping generalisations which are patently fabricated just to support your point.

@IGY let me rephrase- no one enters porn for the right reasons. And I'm sticking to this. I can 100% guarentee that you will never (among the thousands (hundreds of thousands?) of porn stars, amateur and professional, find one that started for a good reason. Often its money. When I say "nobody enters by choice", you're right that's not all true, but if someone is picking between starvation or doing porn, what do you think they'll pick? Sometimes girls enter because of the "fame and glory" of it. And to that I'd first like to say, seeking fame is no way to live, and secondly, for every one big name contract girl, there are hundreds of who never become famous.

However, all these misguided reasons are nothing when compared to the biggest reason (and work with me here bro, I can't imaging there are stats that even exist in this area but from all the "case studies" I've looked at of ex porn stars this seems to be the overwhelming reason) they are searching for love. So often, and this is the real tragedy of porn in my opinion, these girls come from broken homes. So often they were raped or abused as children. The sobering realization I've had is that: these are girls who are looking for the love they never received. Sex is highest expression of love humans are capable of, so it's no wonder these women turn towards the sex industry.

Those are, indeed, two very different statements. I am pleased you were able to rephrase your first one. Thank you Matt :)

As a ex web cam girl, anyone who watches any form of porn is supporting a sick industry. I degraded myself for the entertainment of others. I was a victim of the glamorous lie, ashamed of the things I did. Willingly? At first. The fear of "It's too late, I have to stay here." The threats of obsessed clients if I left. The site too. I was naive, I hated myself, I wanted to be liked and loved. I was a sad, depressed person. I felt I had no choice. I was stuck. I choose to leave, it was hard. I was stalked and harassed by people. I still fear the consequences of what I had done. We need to wake up and realize this industry is toxic! And those who watch porn support the suffering of those trying to escape. I was lucky.
