I can't do this myself

Not as bad as you think it would be. Okay you may hit a few road blocks along the way but this problem we have is not as terrible as it may seem since all of this is pretty short term. This can go away and you can recover. So throw out that self pity and guilt or whatever it is holding you back. There is no need to be ashamed in anyway. Comparing to all the crap in the world our issue is pretty minor.

Instead of attacking this directly I say use the indirect approach. Go out and live your life to the fullest. Make a list of things you want to do like learning how to drive a stick shift or taking up parkour for instance. Go ahead and reinvent yourself. Pick up a new skill and learn something. When you go ahead and create a lifestyle that helps you evolve and improve you wouldn't be occupied by this and time would fly by and you wouldn't even notice. At the end you would defeat this without even knowing you did and you will be a pretty awesome individual with jack of all trades to boot. There is no destination but a life journey.
