As I write this I’m 144 days without PMO’ing. I did not go the hard route as I am married and used to have sex with my wife until recently. I used to be able to get an erection, but no longer. I’m fearful that my sex life is a thing of the past and I’m really bummed. Even with attempts to stimulate myself to get an erection (without porn) I am still flaccid. It’s got me in a real mental state.

I’ve an appointment with my doctor for next week to see what he has to say and rule out anything physical. I’m sure I’ll get a referral to an urologist.

I’ve been taking some testosterone supplements, but my wife wonders if it’s not a combination of age and a hormone imbalance. Personally, I think it’s a government conspiracy and they’ve put something in the water.

Governments have been trying to suppress our hard-on's for decades :)

Seriously though, it's good that you are going to see you Doc. It might be physical or it might be an emotional blockage.

If you're not having sex, the important thing is that you keep the communication open & remain as intimate emotionally as possible with each other. Feelings of guilt, anger, self-criticism etc, need to be avoided/dealt with.

Keep checking in here & congrats for getting 144 days clean time behind you - that's a massive achievement.

    @traveller22,

Governments are certainly keeping us off our game.

My wife and I are in constant communication so there's no worry there. The mental chatter over here, now that's a whole other story.

Will keep you posted about what the doc says.

    Best,

Great to hear that you guys have a good level of communication - so many people don't have that.

All the best with the doc visit.

    Respect for the 145 days.

Ask your doctor to get your full blood test, you wont know if levels are low until you see it in your results. What type of test boosters are you taking? Erectile Dysfunction is not always caused by low testosterone. Ask your doctor for "sildenafil citrate" etc until you sort yourself out.

Have you put on weight recently?

And, there is nothing in the water lol

Isn't it obvious? They put porn in the water.

Floppy dick syndrome is a bummer! :p

Seriously, it must be very frustrating when you have a person with whom to have sex. As for an imbalance of the hormone testosterone - yes, that is quite likely. I had this problem from my mid forties and I have hormone replacement therapy (HRT) now. I have injections of testosterone every 10 weeks. You need to discuss this fully with your GP or local doctor.

Saw my doctor today. Pretty disappointed in his response to my limp penis issue. He says that a guy my age should expect that sort of thing. It's not a testosterone thing as I'm not diabetic and my libido is well and active.

He gave me a box of pills (C not V). Really? Treat the symptom and not the cause. He'd never heard of PIED. Guess I'm on my own, with everyone's help here, to find my own way.

One could argue that debt & pornography are two of the most effective tools for enslaving the masses.

(That's assuming there's someone/something that wants to enslave us, which is how I see it)

@traveller22, I think you might be on to something. I believe there are people who want to control the masses, be it through debt, pron or religion. We have to be strong and lead, not follow.
