1001 no fappying nights (90 day commitment)

    Going to commit to 90 days challenge initially, but I would like to begin this journey with the mentality that I am going to end this habit forever. I'm going to try to also commit to working out and drinking more water. Here goes! To 1001 no fappying nights!

    Oh yes. It really helps. Especially when you are fighting with very powerful urges. I think there is a personal log section here somewhere but I think you could just keep going on here.

    Night 1/next day:
    Had some trouble sleeping last night. Fought the urge and finally fell asleep at around 4am. Surprisingly, I had a great next day. Didn't feel too tired or irritable at all. I had a productive day.

    Interesting that you slept at 4 am. I usually have the same problem when I am about to go to bed and I am just too horny and my horniness doesn't allow me to sleep, I usually just fap in order to sleep, I guess the secret is not to fap, no matter what.

    Yeah the sleeplessness is a bitch. I used to fap myself to sleep but then you're solving an issue by creating a bigger issue of a different nature...

    I found that including an afternoon or evening workout in your schedule greatly improves your ability to regulate your sleep.

    Worth giving it a shot, don't you think? ;)

    So what do you do when you can't sleep and you have that urge to fap?

    Rule of thumb: when I get the urge and it gets really bad, I close the laptop, leave the phone in a drawer, and go for a short walk outside. Works very well for me. If it's during the day, I call up a friend and go hang out with them.

    The key is to break the state you are in to put yourself into a different, more positive state. Such as being at peace with nature, or enjoying the company of a friend.

    That's right! In my mind I figured that if I put myself to sleep at whatever time, I'll wake up feeling good. Years of this behavior and I still didn't learn. I always beat myself up in the morning. I guess it's like drinking to sleep and waking up with a hangover? Any thoughts on this? Are you a drinker?(not judging)

    Defiantly something I need to work on. All these years of sleepless nights and felling tired did nothing to help my physique. Are you working out? Do you think it would be wise to work out at night to fight the urges ?

    Doing cardio is something that you should try followed by a healthy meal with lots of good carbs. This puts me to sleep every time.

    Can't fap no matter if it's 7am and the birdies are singing. I'm going to "sleep myself" to sleep and not "fap myself" to sleep. I hear cold showers work miracles before bed, but I don't like cold water... Any thoughts on cold showers? How about lukewarm or room temperature showers? :p

    Putting away the "toys" sounds like an excellent idea! Like when I was a kid.. No toys allowed at bed time! Nature walks sound awesome!! I live close to the ocean. Are you a nature guy?

    Depends what I'm doing that day. Weightlifting is something I prefer to do in the morning, cardio or aerob (for fat loss) are better for me later on during the evening (around say 9-10pm). By the time you got home, cooked and had your meal, you'll be pretty tired.

    You can do pretty much anything you want in your afternoon workout, as long as you burn your extra fuel before going to bed. Whether its a simple run or swimmming upstream a river, the important is to get your blood pumping somewhere else than in your dick.

    The wolf that wins is the one you feed.

    Night 2/next day:
    No trouble falling asleep tonight(I had 2 beers at the bar which I think helped) with very minimal urges. Woke up with a little fatigue, and just a tad bit irritable (blame it on work). Deleted the snapchat since I'm subscribed to some slutty smutty stuff. Have to be careful with Instagram no porn on there but since I've got some very risky stuff that can trigger the urges. I also have to be careful when browsing through my files on my pc (don't want to fall for those smutty land mines hidding)
