My 30 starts today!

    DO something which you haven't done so far like driving to some secluded calm place like a lake or something. Be alone in nature and simply enjoy the present moment as the urges and triggers disappear in the nature. Take a walk to a park when there is no one around. Doing these simple things can have some healing effects on your mind. It will get hard but you can work your way out.

    Day 15 soon. It's a half-time. :) ^And I am not exactly sure. One way is as you see to join a thread like this for 90 days. You can also get one of the progress bars and set it to 90, or you can just start your own independent journal. Haven't seen other ways.

    Day 7 -

    Well it's been up and down emotion wise, but no relapses. Mainly just fighting some depression. When I think "what have I done", I try and remember that I'm choosing today to learn from my mistakes, and that I'm not going to let them continue anymore to hurt me! I've also picked up a good habit in reading (non-fiction), and listening to jazz music. They focus my mind on positive things.

    Id still like to try and get back to my gym routine, I once heard because PMO is a physical habit, a positive physical habit like exercise will help to replace it

    @silverfingernail Don't give in! Be strong! And take it one day at a time. I know when I logically write things out it helps me think straight. Write out, why your committed to this course, what are the consequences of bad habits, and the very positive rewards of choosing otherwise! The pain of craving will dim with time.

    Inspiration -
    Remember this is WAR!! Being a slave to PMO is probably one of the worst feelings, it just the worst. Will it be easy to win? No!, how many good things are? Will it be worth it? Absolutely. Do WHATEVER it takes to win the battle! Leave your phone far out of reach, put it on the other side of the house, or a difficult place to reach (don't use it as an alarm). Play a game of solitaire, play an instrument, doing something that doesn't involve electronics! Just some thoughts...

    Ah... Experiencing difficulties currently. :D Just posting so that I don't do anything. Day 17 soon. Wondering if after some time this will feel easier.

    Fighting hard, and I get swings for sure, just gave to keep pushing. You gotta want it more than anything!

    Hey guys, i appreciate all of your concerns! Sorry for not logging in lately i've just been busy with other things. Nevertheless, i stayed strong and am on day 19 as we speak!

    Its only gotten harder to avoid the urges after the two week mark as i begin to imagine what i would like to watch and how awesome it'd be to do it "just one more time".. I know it will never end if i dont stop now so i refuse to give in. I havent really found any methods that can help me ease through this so it's kind of all been willpower, but luckily thats been enough.

    Day 19 and I'm feeling great
    The urges are letting up for me which is a huge help but I know that all it takes is a little trip to get right back to where i was so vigilance is still high.
    On a unrelated/related note I kissed a girl for the first time in more than two years, to quote talladega nights "i got my balls back." hang in there guys you're killin' it!

    ^@silverfingernail, you should be just one day ahead of me, so 21. :) (Not to imply there is a hurry) And I am doing fine, day 17 was a bit of an anomaly as it turns out. Also about women, I just notice them more and I guess I also feel more comfortable/confident, what else could have happened? It's like, I just feel clean, like there is nothing for me to hide.

    Day 15,

    It's getting harder to stay on track but reading some of these posts is super motivational. Ive had a couple of trigger events, and in just trying to cut out whatever I can, and just deal with the rest. It's been a while since I logged in, and I'm vacationing soon but I'll try and keep up.

    Inspiration - I feel that motivation must be renewed each day. Why do I do this? I have my reasons, and each day we must remind ourselves of why we do this. To quit we must stay motivated! Keep up the good work, fight hard one day at a time!

    Almost there. Day 26 soon. Been very busy. It's still a bit hard sometimes, but mostly it's just about stopping your thoughts before they spiral out, so to speak. I also feel like I know myself better. Good luck guys! Hopefully I won't screw this up on day 29 or smth. :D

    I would like to post something concluding as it happened. So I made it to 30 but then didn't keep going. I don't think I have done too much damage to myself in these few days, but I am starting 90 days now since I realize the habit is still to some degree with me and 30 days is too little. Cheers. You can do it guys!
