Okay I just can't seem to get past the 3(or 4) day mark and I'm wanting some tips or advice that will help me out. My current situation is no job, living with parents who aren't home most of the day, no friends, no car, and ADHD. I workout(bodyweight workout or yoga every day) and I take a 5 minute cold shower every day. I'm 24 been fapping for about 10-11 years in case that matters with your tips/advice. And I tend to just get the F*ck it attitude on day 3-4 and give in.

Well hi there. To start off, I'm 18 and have been addicted to porn since 11 (I quit once for 2 years but then relapsed, yea, that's college for you).

Your issue seems to be mostly that you just don't wanna quit so badly. The fuck it attitude usually comes cuz you just don't wanna get rid of it. You sound like you dont have anything else to fill your time with so that's probably it. find something to indulge in aside from PMO and u'll be lasting longer

Start doing something to fill your time.Realize on what hours of the day you get bored and relapse and fill those hours with something productive.Do what you enjoy the most.
Me personally i had bit hard urges today but i got my phone(which has k9 with unknown password that i will only remove when i factory reset my phone)and go my S pen out and draw the reward circle that is guilt>fighting the urge>fall into/think meh it wont change things/>fap>guilt(and i need to change mindset) and its all stuck in an endless circle.I also like to imagine im walking a path with hidden traps and every i urge i pass them with a smile on my face.

Also i was in your spot a not while ago felling de-motiveted now im super motivated to do so many things.. everything is time.

Don't let your urge kill the life in you!

I have found the 3 to 4 day thing to be problematic. And by the way, it doesn't matter if I've been incredibly busy with school and/or work or have too much free time (although the latter seems to cause more issues), I still have been a part of that 3-4 day cycle that I've only broken a couple of times.

I'd say definitely keep up the work out but also get into something you may be interested in like music or feed movie or book interest. Here's the thing though: the craving will come and I think it's sort of like dealing with the cold or flu sometimes - you just have to let it run its course. Yep, there is some suffering involved. And you just take it on. You can pray (if you do that) or you can go for a walk. But sometimes, the way to deal with it is just to suffer. What helped me in that time is to think of myself literally dying to that craving. It feels like a certain kind of anxiety but it doesn't last too incredibly long. It's not fun but you just have to go through it. Stay positive.

Thanks for the help and support. It is appreciated. @darknes4o The timing is pretty much anytime after I finish my household work(read chores) and there isn't really anything to do in my area(without money that is). @Js5 I don't really have much that excites me, my fapping is kinda like a cutter(a pretty good analogy actually). I don't pray but I might try drawing down the sun(it's a Wiccan thing). I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who has a hard time this early in the game. If I figure anything out I'll probably post it here to help if anybody searches and comes across this thread.

The main thing I attribute to my (5 day) success since making my commitment to quitting PMO on this site is that I had reached an ultimate low in my life. I am forcing myself to change because I never want to be in that place again... it was everything - physically weak and ED, emotionally distraught, mentally exhausted and foggy, spiritually dead.

To continue living that way would have been agony. I have to take control of my life. I can't go back to the way things were. PMO isn't my only problem, but it sure wasn't helping.

Take my advice and don't let things get worse than they are right now.

    One other thought…well, two.

First, I've done the cold shower thing and eh. Doesn't work for me so much. I'm just cold and annoyed. BUT maybe it will down the line.

Second, what has worked is putting on headphones and listening to music. And it seems like the headphones are an important detail. You focus on the music and your breathing may change a bit according to the song and it gets me out of that rough area. Inspires me even. Or just shifts my focus to the notes and rhythm.

    Best of luck.
