Hey all of you, comrades! So uhm I'm a 20 year old male and recently I discovered the benefits from restriction and abstention from PMO. I started and managed to complete 5 full days before I relapsed badly, literally an hour ago and I feel like the world has ended. I started noticing some differences in my life such as a boost in confidence and becoming more fearless. I chat up with strangers without mumbling and less anxiety so there was a slight improvement but I blew it away, I couldn't resist .. like today on the bus a gorgeous chick sat in front of me and it gave me a bon bon boner for throughout the entire journey, nearly one hour. Whereas before I was a porn addict and would masterbait 2 to 3 times a day, now I want to cease it, can someone give me an advice.. I relapsed because I tried to test myself by watching cute chicks on the net talking morals and said "fuck it I can't" and I could've easily avoid it, my bad .. Anyway, hope I can complete the challenge and beyond and finally settle down with a girlfriend eventually

You made a good choice by joining, good job.

Relapses happen to all of us. Especially in the beginning. When you read those success stories of people who have gone a whole year you think "it must be so easy for them. I can't even get past 5 days." That's at least how I felt. But then, as I kept trying, I realized that my streaks were getting longer. I just got back up after every relapse, and it started to get easier. I used to only be able to do 3 days, but now I am on my 11th day.

The best advice I have is to keep making realistic goals. You've gone for 5 days now. Next try going for 8 days. If you think about it, a week isn't so long. You will be there before you know it. If you can see that completing your goal is on the horizon you will try harder to not PMO so you can reach your goal.

Most of all, never get discouraged. A relapse doesn't reset all your progress. It isn't good, but it is t worth getting depressed about. Just stay optimistic and your streaks will be long before you know it.

    I hope you succeed.

You've blown NOTHING away! You're out here aren't you? You recorded the benefits of 5 days clean. You've stumbled, yes, but you didn't let it go to waste.

    You picked yourself up,
    you LEARNED, and
you added to this forum to the tools you can use to reach your goals in this.

    I'd say, "Good Job!!!"
