Hi @ReeJS, well done on being P free for 6 months - that's a great achievement! Although I haven't experienced any ED, my situation is similar to what yours was. You cannot be sexually attracted to men, as a male, and not be homosexual. You are, at least for that moment, homosexual. There is no other definition for homosexual. However, the difference between porn and real life, is that porn offers the best of the best. Whereas real life offers... uglier people, for lack of a better word, and uglier scenarios. The fantasy isn't as perfect in real life. There are far too many thoughts in your mind, far too many things to consider before acting out a sexual fantasy in real life. This is quite possibly why there is less of a sexual reaction to men in public, much more is going through your mind, and you are probably more judgmental in this environment.

And of course, your taste in men may be so small and limited, that you can only be aroused by this fantasy while being at your peak levels of arousal. Whereas with women, it may be more common and require less desire.

If your intention is to be rid of your homosexual desires, then do not think about them at all and do not focus on them. In saying this, when these thoughts do come to you, and they will, recognize it, be content, there's nothing wrong, and it will eventually fade. There more attention you give to your "problem", with the intention of solving it, the more attention you are giving to your "problem", and possibly not solving it. Right?

Just don't worry about it. You know who you want to be, be who you want to be.

I don't believe fo a second a straight male will be attracted to gay porn unless they them self are curious to begin with. A lot of men may in fact be straight but also curious of other men, hence your Taste in homosexual porn. Test the waters maybe you will like it more then you think.

 

I know what it is like to have HOCD but the best way to overcome it is to stop watching porn, any and all types, and second replace porn with something more positive in your life, OK dude, you are not gay.

Welcome to the forums, first off congratulations you're coming to terms with your sexuality. As you've probably realized this is a strong indicator of who you actually are as you've been probably burying it and keeping it a secret. ALL my friends who are now ALL FULLY GAY and happy say they have experienced exactly the same thing as you.

Basically if your ring finger is shorter or the same length as your index (pointer finger) you have a 99% chance of being gay. Also check yourself as you walk in the mirror, if you have more of a hip swing, or gay swag as I like to call it, it must mean you are harbouring latent homosexual tendencies.

 

Don't beat yourself up. You clearly stated that having sex with a guy would gross you out, and that is a clear indication that you're not gay. If you're ever attracted to a real guy, not in porn, and your desires go beyond sex i.e. wanting intimacy with him, dating etc. then you can cross that bridge when you get to it and evaluate your sexuality then. Sorry but I'm not "fucking up his mind more." I just think a lot of gays, need to feel accepted that what they are viewing is perfectly normal and not some made up term like HOCD which doesn't even exist, see post on empty closets post #2. If the OP is getting turned on by twinks and other gays we should really be supporting him.
