I know that only intentionally watching porn/p-subs count as a relapse, but damn, every time I see a p-sub on TV or the internet I feel like my progress has been set back somehow.
How do we survive in a world were there's p-subs left and right?

Where exactly do you see the subs? I'm asking because I think you can live quite a normal life using technology etc. without seeing them too much. IMO it comes down to making choices about what sites to visit etc. Sure you won't be able to avoid the occasional girl in bikini in a commercial or on a billboard, but it's not that bad if you make it a habit to look away ASAP.

A Copernican Revolution is required. You can not change the world, but you can change your self. And once your self is changed, the P-subs will bounce straight off you, or through you like gamma rays.

Wear your sunglasses at night? Go for a walk, read a book, practice an instrument, think the most un-sexy thoughts ever, play a G video game.

I just saw a porn pic accidentally on the internet. I looked away, exited out of the site and am now trying to calm down.

I think this is progress as I am now not affected as much accidentally seeing random porn images. However, I am now struggling with thinking about sex and Masturbating to my thoughts.

  9. Avoiding them on the internet is fairly easy, you just have to know what the "safe" sites are. It's best to bookmark sites you refer to and avoid any general searching, although I've never came across a porn picture while searching for something harmless?
My take may be different, but you can't shield yourself from a pretty girl or what she is wearing and you shouldn't have to. You can admire someones beauty and even feel arousal, but get to the point that you don't act on it, she becomes a hot sports car or beautiful scenery in nature and you can move on.
Guys have sexual urges in their DNA and unless you want to never leave your house or turn on your computer or TV, you will see girls. Sex sells and advertisers will use it as much as they can.
I'm a Christian and I don't think God would have made women so beautiful and then torture us by not letting us look at them, but maybe that's me?

Looking at real life girls in real life is not the problem. It's looking at girls in a screen and I notice real physical changes in my body if I accidentally see them.

I agree that the over-sexualization of modern culture is only a few degrees removed from the poison of porn. This does make keeping one's mind pure and porn-free difficult, but I think it's worth reminding yourself of the distinction between what you can and can't control.

Much of the over-sexualization on TV, or newscasters, or movies, or TV shows is aimed to exploit both men and women who are unconsciously distorted by such imagery. It's easier to convince them that what you're selling is better, or what you're saying is more truthful once you've blinded them with sexuality. Everyone on this forum knows this effect too well. Most of us went way beyond simply being culturally and economically manipulated by such gratuitous sexuality.

Yet we're lucky in some ways, in that from the depths of our psychological damage we can see how pernicious and dangerous all the pornographic material in the world can be. And this is the point I wanted to get to, as long as you're not actively seeking to destroy your own sense of healthy sexuality by seeking out porn, you can see the fallacy behind all the images that modern culture is constantly shoving in your face. Because you have no control over their existence, you have the power to step back and see them for what they are. You're more awake than the average person to what lurks behind those cheap ploys.

Don't think of p-subs as threats to your enlightened mind, see them as traps that you're now smart enough to avoid.
