How quitting pornography feels like after five months

Hi,

I can't believe that almost five months passed after I overcame this bad habit of watching porn or pornographic images. Nowadays I cannot even imagine consuming this stuff, it's just no option for me. When I think about my reboot (October-December 2015), I am very thankful for my perseverance because watching pornography was always a thing that made me feel ashamed. It was not easy but it was worth the effort.
I remember that the time seemed to pass so slowly but 90 days are just a small part of your life and life is really short.

A few simple tips:
1. Consider taking cold showers. They are very refreshing and it builds up your self-discipline.
2. Make an emergency plan (blockers are very helpful).
3. Write down the reasons for quitting porn and use it as a daily reminder.

If you get through that difficult period you will not only profit by shedding a bad habit but you also get more self-discipline and you will be able to get through other tough situations in life more easily and accept the things that you cannot change.

For me personally it means dealing with an unexpected illness that was diagnosed recently and accepting the situation.
