Looking for sombody to Reboot 30 days with, No P and No M

    Here are two of the most obvious benefits that I've experienced so far during my 2 weeks of NoFap.
    • The lack of (porn) guilt: I'm not sure about you guys but always when I would get up the morning after having a 'wank' I would feel both extra groggy and guilty for letting myself down. Well, a few days ago after waking up I felt the usual grogginess followed by the automatic guilt. Suddenly, when I realised I hadn't masturbated in nearly 2 weeks it gave me a real sense of confidence and in myself, like a burden had been lifted.
    • Yesterday morning I was wondering how much NoFap was really helping as I'm still quite agitated and I don't feel like a changed man. As I'm applying to go back to college I had a lot of forms to fill out and general red tape to navigate. Usually, I procrastinate immensely and drag this stuff out over a week or so and cause much more stress. However, yesterday I got the main bulk of completed by just knuckling down and accepting the discomfort it causes. Although my concentration is still not great, I feel like it's improving.
    There have probably been other improvements that in the fullness of time will show themselves too.

    At the moment it stills feels incomprehensible to think of never POing again as I've had a lot of setbacks in the past but I'm just taking it day by day!

    @Joseon2016 Yeah, I can relate with the lack of guilt thing. I also used to start my day with a "-1 score". Because my usual pmo routine was actually doing it on the night before. So I would wake up feeling like shit and thinking: "What the fuck, last time I said I would stop it."

    So this feeling would be like the first fail of the day. And even though I'm not feeling the great positivity and all the benefits of nofap just yet, I can definitely feel that I'm doing something out of my comfort zone. And this simply work as momentum for other things that you want/have to do.

    Good Morning, people. Just checking in cos felt some urges when I woke up today but am here instead. Thanks for being around. Its hard sometimes but I'm enjoying this journey and the feeling that I am getting further away from this thing.

    Awesome, @stephanD ! Happy to see you got back on track. I'm almost done with the first 30 days and I can't think of going back (actually I'm already planning on stretching to 90 days). Keep focused and busy with more important stuff and you'll do great!

    Well done maske, really impressed. By the end of the weekend I'll be back on the 14 I 'lost' then I'm going to set my goal for 30, then maybe 45, it's important for me to keep the goal at least in sight. Feeling good about it. Here's to freedom.

    Apparently it does get easier! So don't give in! I'm in a position that I definitely don't want to fuck up what I already achieved.

    I'm starting to feel more urges than before, but I'm starting to make a relation between saying no to your urges and feeling good. What I mean is that when I don't feel urges it is definitely easier to keep up, but I don't feel the same emotional benefits as when I do get the urges but make the choice of abstaining.

    I honestly believe that the moment we need to be more strong is when the urge comes, not because you will reset your counter if you don't, but because the strength of the urge is what will turn into something good for you later.

    So maybe a month without PMO but with no urges may not be a greater achievement than 5 days of actually fighting off the monster inside you.

    So keep it up guys! Let's do this! :cool:

    hey guys I know I'm late but I'm gonna join. I just relapsed after 15 days. Feeling pretty crappy about it but it was my own fault. I shouldn't have given in to my sinful urges. No PMO for the next 90 days. Starting right now. We can do this guys.

    I got off my usual habit of checking threads, and I realize that NoFap has kept me motivated. I'll be back daily in order to win this battle

    I see some guys put their goal straight away to 90 days or 365 days. I think that's great and I'm sure for some people that works well. However, if you're like me, that is too much of mountain to climb straight away. I need short goals for example one week goals. Although 30 is always in the back of my mind. On around day 19 I had some strong urges and the thought of going 11 more days seemed was impossible. However, the thought of holding off two more days seemed quite doable and gave me the strength to fight that urge.

    Anyway I'm not sure did I write that for other people's benefit or myself. :p

    Fight for another day guys and tomorrow you'll be stronger!

    @Joseon2016 Haha yea, I also feel that I write stuff here more for my own benefit than actually helping other people but that is how it works I guess. When you say it/write it, you end up reinforcing that thought. Pretty much like a AA meeting.

    But reading what you wrote definitely gives me a sensation that I'm not crazy of trying to change this habit. When I was trying to do it only by myself, without seeing this forum daily, I would have bad thoughts that would make me relapse, like "What's the point of doing this?" "All my friends (probably) watch porn and jerk off, you aren't different, just do it." And this argument is simply invalid when I join this forum and see how many people (even women!) have the same problem and really want to change. And that gives me strength. :)

    Hello people, hit my goal again and super happy about it, happier than watching porn made me (which as we all know wasn't very happy at all) Going to keep going to 30, and then maybe 45 and then maybe 60, then maybe 90, 90!!!! seems inconceivable at the beginning but really feel like we can all make it. Stay smart.

    Hey @Ristian , sorry for not answering. Apparently you managed it already. Welcome aboard and be strong brother, after a month it gets easier, I would never imagine that after so much time, my urges would start to slow down and/or it would be easier to control myself. Besides that, having passed the 30 days counter sounds huge to me, and even though I probably shouldn't be caring so much about how many days, etc, I don't want to lose that streak.

    What I can say is this, try your best to go all the way the first 30 days, no matter what.
