I am an Artist. Artists are a different breed, we have a different relationship with our emotions for instance, so often addiction is present in our lives. Not making excuses, just stating a fact.

So what's up?

 

I think artistic personalities are a little more impulsive by nature, because they are so in tune with the emotional/aesthetic impact of the world around them. So, exercising the discipline necessary to not be seduced by immediate gratification can be a greater challenge for them. Or, maybe that's just me xD

 

I am not an artist by profession, but I like art. Especially if I'm involved with it. Mud sculptures, stone sculptures, glue micro-statues and toys, pencils, crayons, bamboo brush, paint, cardboard art, misc collage, metal working, ohhhh I LOVED IT. Some paintings I can never forget - Wanderer above the Sea of Fog and M.C. Escher's Drawing Hands just two that come to mind. I also took an Art History course... the perspective just mind-blowing. I could point out maybe 2 awe-inspiring revelations and my instructor could easily without trying point out 20!!!!!! Insanely inspiring, I love my creative side. I wish I can pursue art as a nice part-time hobby at one point in my life.

I really like doing graphic design and digital illustration. My dream is to do concept art for animated movies.
I've tried a couple times to get shirts printed on threadless, but not much success.

One of the biggest reasons I'm trying to quit porn is so I can concentrate on my art more.

I draw comics. A lot of it is similar to "American Splendor."

 

I fall more in the category of art/design, since those are the two areas I am currently delving in, but you could say art is more as a hobby for now
