New here, would like help please

    Hello, I have been addicted to porn since about 13 or 14 (cant remember). I am now 25 years old, and i still have stretches where i masturbate frequently. I am a binger. Sometimes I will go three days NoFap, but then on relapse day, I might do it 3 or 4 times a day until my dick can no longer take it.

    I used to have PIED, and it was a VERY hard fight, but I overcame it and can enjoy sex with a real partner. The problem here...I think i have developed an addicted to sex in general not just porn. I used to find myself going to strip clubs, and other night clubs looking to hook up. All the previous girlfriends ive had have all said that I can be very over-sexual and they believed that was all I wanted (which was true), so they left me.

    I have been using porn even during those relationships. After sex with her, i would wake up in the middle of the night and fap to porn and go back to sleep. I have always though about quitting, but I have always been embarrassed to go seek help. My will power alone cannot overcome this.

    I have some questions on how to overcome my addiction...

    - Is this something I will have to actively do? Like will i have to be on the forums every day??
    -What are some suggestions to stay away from porn? I do work out, but I often have a lot of time left over in the day, and just do it after my workout.

    You get what you put in, Mack. I had about 6 months PMO free and had a slip about two weeks ago, which led to a downward spiral of full relapse binging. I did a 90 day reboot back in December, and started to attend SAA meetings once a week. I have an accountability partner and things were going well but I just decided to fap one day. I guess I took for granted how good life is when I'm not constantly trying to get off; and I forgot how difficult it is to stop once I get started. So I'm back for another reboot, because this is something that worked for me. Don't give up. even if you slip or fail in the beginning, just keep at it. Its all about progress, not perfection

    I've been on Nofap since March 31. I have found that the more frequently I get on the forum I am more likely to have better results. There have been a couple times where I gave up on myself and left the forum, and when I did I suffered. I see NoFap as a community of people encouraging each other get through one of the toughest additions to control.
    One way I eat up free time is by playing Xbox or watching Netflix. Maybe finding another hobby would help you out.

  4. Take each and every day as separate to the next. Live for now, take down the addiction one day at a time. Keep yourself busy and your mind off digital fantasy and your hands off your dick. Treat it as a life change not as a 30 - 60 90 day challenge that leads to a "reboot". Aim to quit porn forever because it is ugly, vile, disgusting and degrades women and embarrases yourself.

  5. Firstly - yes being here is beneficial. interact, advise, communicate and research. It all helps cement the seed that porn is no good for you, your family or your future.

    Secondly - Stay away from porn.... close your accounts that access it, install blockers on your devices, reduce social networking, find your triggers and work with them to eliminate them.

    You are oversexed like i was... i believe that was down to years and years of PMO. Artificial stimulation, dopamine overload. If you resolve to only have the real deal things will get better. I'm much more relaxed now after 10 months without porn and i'm not sexed up all the time either.
