    Hi!
I am a 25 year old student, living in austria. I have been addicted to PMO since I was 13.
Like many of you, I have tried to quit hundrets of times. The longest I managed was 5 months.
Right now, I have relapsed after 3 months. In my anger about it, I found this awesome community and I believe this is going to be my way out of it.
    My 2 reasons:
    1. I want to get more energy and I want to care about stuff. Rigth now, I am a slave to my urges, it makes me weak and I usually feel unmotivated, sluggish, without drive.
    2. I am christian and I think pornography is sin.

I noticed that stress, anxiety and troubles are often my reasons to go back to watching porn. It is like an outlet to blow of steam. I think I can overcome that, by staying positive and not giving in to troubling thoughts.

    cheers

    Hello.
Reading you, I think you are true. Stress, anxiety, troubles and BOREDOM are recurrent causes to relapse.

When I work a lot, I want to fap to destress.

So, You achieved 5 months without PMO and right now 3 months. You are in a good way to leave PMO. I'm confident ! lol.
How did you do to get these targets ? Have you some advices ?

Learn everything that you can on YourBrainOnPorn.com

It it very valuable to learn about how your brain actually becomes addicted to the release of dopamine released from PMO. The more you know, the more you are prepared to battle your urges!

You can do this man! Having a community where you can talk about this and read about what other people are going through really made a difference for me. You are not alone. We're all in this together!

Good luck with your journey. I believe you can do it since you managed to quit earlier for 5 months. just don't give up :)

Thank you for your comment! It really feels great to open up about this topic.

I managed the two runs after big changes in my life. I moved to other places and felt great about the new start, started to work out and do things. But I wasn't really aware of how dangerous stress,... is, so after some time, when I worked a lot and worried a lot about my study, I stopped working out. Then I went back home for a few days and fell right back into my old habits. The two times were quite similar, but I did it without anyone else knowing.

The big difference now is this community. Together we can do this :)
I still think changing things in our lives makes it easier, even small changes.
