Hey so I'm new to this but i had a frightening experience this past week and was wondering if anyone else has encountered it as well, and if so how they handled or beat it (no pun intended).
I Fap regularly to all kinds of porn and have for years, with no problem of getting an erection, as I have gotten older I have noticed that it takes more erotic stuff to get me going but can still achieve a lasting solid erection. I have had a few sexual partners but over all haven't had sex many times. This past weekend I found myself in bed with a very beautiful girl and I had trouble maintaining or even getting an erection when it came time to do the deed. I am not sure why this is and it has caused me much anxiety, embarrassment and frustration. This has happened once before but I blamed it on being drunk, I now know that wasn't the cause (at least entirely). I am wondering if anyone else has encountered this and or if anyone knows how I might help this situation.

    -Thanks

  2. PIED (porn induced erectile dysfunction) is a very common symptom for serial fapper's. Over stimulation of the brain through prn can really screw people up in many ways...definitely recommend you look into abstaining from PMO for a bit, try a 30 day reboot. It can be tougher than people think so start a reboot journal and log your processs. You have a lot of great people on this forum eho can give specific advice and support to get you to the person you want to be.

  3. Super common, mate, and actually what brings most guys to support boards like nofap. They don't realize they have a problem until their equipment is broken. Of course there's been a problem all along and the D breaking to this extent is typically the end of the line. You've likely got pied.

Here's Gabe with a great explanation:

YUP... Very common . And sexual function usually returns if you can manage to stay away from PMO

Very common as others said. Stop watching porn and stop masturbating it only gets worse.
This shit is real. Heal yourself!

Thank you all very much this was super helpful and comforting, I was nervous as to how people would reply, thought I would get a bunch of jerk replies. My only other concern is that while I do masturbate I do not do it too frequently and I have been successful in the past when with women so I wasn't sure as to why it had just started when my habits hadn't changed.

Check out the Ted Talk Your Brain on Porn by Gary Wilson. Just over a month ago I was in bed with a lady who really wanted to enjoy sex and I had ED. It left me feeling real bad hence I started looking for answers.
    Me currently:
Hey...Well I made it to July 18th which put me at 15 days No PMO and then a relapse. Yikes, I wasn't even looking for porn, my smart phone APP rejected any attempts to access it...dam..it was a you tube segment that unhinged me. I refuse to deal in shame, this is a tricky process when one deals in lust and loneliness at the same time along with the vast wasteland of images surrounding you on the internet. If one has to look on the bright side, I felt calmer and even felt that my response to arousal had improved so I have hope in that sense. This is tough and takes real focus.

It took me a few days to admit that I have to start over. but I need to. I am trying to eliminate more "trap doors" in my way to success.
