I read a lot about Porn Addiction, Sex Addiction, and Addictions in general.

I was reading about something about Porn addiction that was explaining that it's a peculiar addiction since there was not physical contact between the source of the Addiction (porn) and the addict (me/us), this creates certain neurological pathways in our brain.

When we try to resist the urge to watch porn or PMO we use the same pathways, that's why it's hard to recover from Porn Addiction and - in a way - resisting Porn in a strange sort of way reinforces those pathways.

The solution is to build new neurological pathways by replacing the old addiction / habit with new, positive addictions / habits.

And that's where Behavioral Activation Therapy comes into play.

Reading the NoFap forums at time I see that some people, as part of their recovery, schedule their day so busy, with no idle time, with no solo time, and far away from temptations so that they don't even think about the triggers that used to lead them to PMO. That's what Behavioral Activation Therapy does.

This site gives us forms and tools to implement Behavioral Activation Therapy http://psychology.tools/technique-behavioral-activation.html .

To read more there's always Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Behavioral_activation .

Keeping busy is so important. I spend about 3 - 4 hours in a day at home now. I work 7 days in the week just to keep myself away from my computer because I literally cannot work at home and just mindless clicking until I get bored and resort back to my old ways.

When I get free time, I play my guitar. If I'm not working, I'm lucky enough to be doing a job that allows me to always study. So any spare free time is spent watching tutorials or educational videos. I hate sitting and watching TV / TV shows all day. For me personally, it's just a waste of time. So removing any mindless activity that didn't allow me to engage myself, I've removed. I do go out to the movies on a Friday night, but because I'm in a cinema, it's kinda difficult to get away with anything.

I just threw away 69 days, mostly because I was stressed, got bored, and started mindless browsing. Because my mind wasn't engaged I found myself going threw pictures without even realising and eventually just came across images that just set me in the mood. I also found, that checking what day I was up to, was about the worst thing ever and it definitely contributed to my relapse tonight.

    Good advice, larrylarrylarry.
