This is fine since it is unexpected. When you intentionally look for sexual arousal, it counts as a relapse.

From my understanding it's definitely not a relapse if you see something that you weren't supposed to see. Not even if you had looked it up on purpose. P is only one of three components of no PMO. P+M+O = relapse. For some, M+O counts as relapse too, and/or sends them down the path to PMO again which then definitely counts as relapse. Just know that your recovery will take longer if things like that keep happening (i.e. looking at pics that arouse you, whether unintentionally or not). For now I congratulate you for not allowing this arousing picture to send you back to relapse. You're stronger than you think.

It doesn't count as relapse before you actually PMO. Looking at stuff and/or edging will slow down your recovery, but it's not a relapse in and of itself. Then again, intentionally looking up stuff that arouses you will almost certainly send you back to PMO sooner or later. Depending on how long you've abstained, you might even O without the M, just from looking at P.

If you are serious about quitting, of course edging or searching for stuffs counts as a relapse. You are cheating yourself if you do not see that as a relapse. There are two roads, to quit or to not quit. If you decide to quit, eliminate those shit from your life completely.

Sure, you're absolutely right. But it's not relapse if you just look at something you're not supposed to be looking at. The challenge is called No PMO, so anything other than P+M+O is by definition not a relapse. I'm not in any way promoting a half-assed approach to all of this, bc as I said 9 out of 10 times such a behavior will send you back to relapse. But it's important to know that you haven't fully relapsed until you PMO'd.

It's almost impossible to not look at sensual stuff once you're on the internet, watching tv or even walking on the street. I guess our friends here are completely right when they say that wasn't relapse. If you're not searching for porn stuff, you're not relapsing. Remember: you're stopping PMO.

He didn't look for it. It came up, and within seconds of realizing what was going on, he aborted the line of thought.

This is definitely not a relapse. But I must challenge some incorrect statements made by @NooseAnchor. Edging is far more damaging than simply masturbating to porn and getting an orgasm straight away. Edging is definitely a relapse! You do not need to PMO to fully relapse. :( The key to understanding this is to accept that the main thing is about the release of dopamine in the brain. Edging just keeps releasing dopamine again and again and again, sometimes for hours on end!

I'm sorry, you're absolutely right. I've actually read up on the whole dopamine thing. My bad. Feel free to challenge my statements anytime. I like your friendly approach. I'm still learning.

Of course it isn't; brother, you can't think like that. The objective is removing porn and the terrible habits that come with it out of your life. Keep the mindset, positive, moving forward. Brother, it is not easy, it is DAM hard. If on day 29 you find yourself watching porn and or masturbating to it ( though I hope it does not happen ) well, you know what, go for 40 days and say, "Shit in the past 40 days I only Masturbated or watched porn one time". Those 40 days are equity into becoming the new porn free person you are. One "relapse" or even a couple for that matter should not deter you from the overall goal of removing porn from your life. Keep moving forward.
