Prostitutes...

    Hi all,

    In a bid to get rid of porn from my life once and for all I've got into the habit, fairly regularly, of dialling up 'service girls' to come to my apartment.
    I'm not sure how I feel about this so I've drawn up a list of pluses and minuses in a bid to help me put it all in perspective, and I'll be counting on your input for further clarification. Perhaps some of you have stories too?

    So...

    FOR:

    1. Regular sex with real women is better than a pixellated fantasy.
    2. I suffer from DE so any practice which help me orgasm with a woman must be a good thing.
    3. The experiences are by and large enjoyable.
    4. It's never going to be a long-term solution, but just something to help me now.

    AGAINST:

    1. Cost!
    2. Prostitution is just another form of objectification. I'm not going to pretend the girls enjoy their work even if they say they do.
    3. With call-girls there is no emotional attachment so I'm not truly breaking free from the 'guy at home' syndrome.
    4. With these girls there is a certain licence to practise some of the things I've fantasised about in the past and seen on porn films. Therefore perpetutating the ideal mental construct of women.

    I'm sure there are more, perhaps you could add some?

    Anyway what do you all think?

    Imagine getting to know this awesome girl next week. She's pure, she's lovely, she's beautiful. Right from the start, you sense that she might be the one you've been looking for. Crazy enough, she gives you the impression that she's quite interested in you, as well. You talk, you flirt, you do fun things. Things start to develop.     With pride, you tell her that you've stopped looking at porn over two months ago. Her eyes light up. She seems really impressed. "Really? But how do you do that?"

    "Well", you say, "I've started seeing prostitutes instead."

    What will she say?

    I vote against. You don't need prostitutes. Don't jump out of the frying pan into the fire. You need baby steps in the direction of your dreams!

    All moral considerations aside, I think there's a danger of substituting one vice for another. I'm not saying that prostitution is necessarily wrong, per se, but it may become a crutch for you and you may end up on a nohooking.com site! I can understand the appeal though.

    Went to a prostitute once and never again. The guilt and paranoia about getting the herp or hiv tore me apart.

    Thanks all. It was never going to fall in favour was it! But that's the tonic I needed, have now deleted my 'contact' from all social media and now looking forward to a life without any porn or prostitutes or anything like that.

    I suspect though that giving up the service girls will be as hard if not harder than giving up the P so now I guess I'll find out what a REAL reboot is like!
