Most of us don't appreciate what we truly have in our lives until it's too late. We are so focused into watching porn that we forget how wonderful things are. I work with a lady who wanted to go to the gym but for some reason or another she had 10 excuses every day. After three months she broke her ankle. Breaking an ankle is a major thing and thus the doctors tell you to stay off it for a long time.

Now she wished she could go to the gym but she can't. I've had experiences in the past where I didn't appreciate my father because he was always around, nagging me, and other stuff that fathers do. But one day he passed away those really sad. I was really really really sad. A part of me wished I spend more time with them, ask him questions about his life and childhood. Yet I was too busy watching porn. And this is all my doing and I take full responsibility for it.

I read a lot of posts and the ones from young guys don't know but one day they will not have depends anymore. They will not have that warm, stable shelter. They will not have anyone have food ready for them and try to guide them in life. If they think it's tough right now, life gets even tougher down the line. I used to be in their shoes when I was at their age so I don't blame them at all. I guess that's just cycle of life.

Here are some questions to ponder
do you still have your parents around?
Do you have friends who care about you?
    You have shelter?
    Do you have food?
Are you physically able to walk, run, and see the sunrise or sunset?
    Are you able to laugh?
We can make a full page of our abilities and how wonderful we have it.

I ask you this question, what are some things in your life that you have that you can truly be grateful and be happy about it?

I can relate. When my Dad passed away, I wasn't capable of feeling the crushing sadness that I anticipated. Instead, I thought about myself and how I was going to survive without his financial support. These thoughts were supported by logic, not emotion. Being so numbed down, I could only feel the emptiness left behind. Right now, I'm slowly catching up with my mourning for him, but it continues to be delayed with this destructive addiction. I'm going to have to at least get in my 90 Days of Reboot if I want to get my life back together. Working on it right now.

Sometimes it may help to realize the old adage that the only easy day was yesterday. Seems apropos here. I can relate.
