    Hello,

I have been postponing this for way too long, but I am now putting an end to that. On Monday I am starting my first serious attempt to quit porn and masturbation.

I am married. So, obviously, there should be no porn and masturbation in my life. There is no real need for it. It is just a nasty habit from before.

Still, based on previous less serious, less determined and less prepared attempts, I know that this change of lifestyle is ridiculously hard. The body needs long time to adapt to less frequent orgasms and the adaptation is hard. Being dependent on somebody and her moods, her health, etc., for your orgasms, is very romantic and fulfilling, but also can be very frustrating during the adaptation period. There is anxiety and occasional depression, as I use porn and masturbation as anxiolitics, like most addicts do.

It has been two years that I have been progressively reducing my consumption of porn and masturbation, and doing increasingly longer abstinence periods. I decided to create a profile here and post my new resolution, as a further way to motivate myself.

So thank you all for being here to help and support each other in this, and for creating all the useful content that I have been reading lately!

By the way, is anybody having issues with soft porn rather than hard porn? I have never been into hard porn, and have no issues not watching it. But I go for things like pop videos, pictures of pop stars, etc...

Why wait to start? Just do it now. Waiting doesn't make it any easier.

Yea man don't postpone it to monday! Friday is a good day to start! It's hopefully will be a long streak. But progress in nature is not linear, it is consistent try. And its same for fighting against any addiction.
