    Hello guys!

I joined NoFap because I believe it could help me with my struggle with porn.
I'm 25 yo male and been figthning the porn for almost a decade. Longest i lasted without PMO was 8,5 months 2013/2014 and 5 months in 2012, but have failed to repeat the success ever since...
Now i tend to be clean for roughly 1-2 months without relapsing. The problem is that when i relapse i binge, watch porn for hours and masturbate many times during 1-7 days before restarting... Again... Between the relapses i'm almost perfectly clean (no PMO, no sexual thoughts), which is nice, but that compulsive behavior during relapses is something i'm really concerned about. I have read a lot about porn and I still don't know why i relapsed so many times... I wonder what's wrong with me and how to recognize the signs telling me i'm about to relapse. Good thing is I had never been in doubt about quiting the fight! It doesn't matter how many battles I lost if I'll win the war :)
I'm a Catholic and the Sacrament of Confession really helps me a lot. I view porn as my biggest sin which causes me a lot of pain. That's why i'm motivated to kick it completely out of my life, once and for all!!!

Have you identified your trigger(s)? That would be the first step in discovering that causes you to relapse. Once identified, praying and asking Christ to empower you to remove the things that may trigger a relapse or the strength to overcome those unremovable triggers in your life would follow identification.

You have courage and you have already defeated that demon a couple of times. You need some retrospection as to what factors lead you to relapse. The symptoms you have stated are something I can easily relate to, as I too go through the same phase of excessive sexual release by masturbating a couple of times very impatiently after every relapse.
Don't lose heart, I know you won't. Be positive and hit your next blow on his face with more strength. :)

  4. Hi @Green91 , welcome to NoFap

It is a big step if you can understand what is triggering your urges, because this will allow you to be awake and kill those urges as soon as they appear.

I recommend you to create your own "Emergency Toolbox" with readings that can be handy to read when you start feeling urges to screw up.
I can share this post with you with my own Emergency Toolbox, it helped me a lot during the first few months, i had them in my cell and read them every time I started falling down:

I wrote some tips in this post that perhaps will help you too:

You can watch some interesting videos which are also very helpful in this post:

I also suggest you to read "Breaking the Cycle" by George Collins, it is a must-read if you are serious about getting rid of this addiction.

Last but not least, I would strongly recommend you to take the NoFap Academy course if you can afford it. The course is great but the best value are the weekly video calls with @alexander (the creator of NoFap and NoFap Academy) and Mark Queppet, where you can chat with them in real life and listen to other guys's stories and problems too.

I hope that all this helps you to fight this shitty addiction.
    Let's keep on fighting
