I wonder how it easy it is to tell PIED apart from other potential causes of dysfunction, which I assume might include aging, cardiovascular issues, self-trained dependence on masturbation from an early age (which overlaps with PIED, of course), mental preoccupation with what your partner is experiencing (instead of your own feelings), stress, anxiety, and God knows what else. Other people's knowledge and insights on this issue would be greatly appreciated, especially if anyone knows of scientific evidence-based recovery strategies.

it helps if you go to a doctor first for a checkup, he can check your blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, testosterone etc. if those look fine, it is most likely PIED.

What about venous leak? That condition is so misunderstood, but it remains a possibility.

My E.D. is so bad, I can't get erect to porn sometimes. I can get erect however, to sexting or literature.

Can anyone answer the following question? Where is the science? Can anyone point me to evidence-based research published in a peer-reviewed journal showing that P, alone or in combination with M &/or O, results either in physiological neurological addiction involving the same brain centers as addiction to substance abuse, or in sexual dysfunction not caused by the other sorts of factors I listed above? I would love to see a bibliography of published scientific research that helped me pursue these questions to my own satisfaction.

My experience is that, aside from a few physical conditions, ED is usually very hard to diagnose. Initially my doctors suspected low T. But even after getting that back in balance, the problem was not fixed. Most of the time, doctors will just prescribe pills. My feeling is that ED is usually psychological and/or porn induced. And most western doctors will never suggest either of those as causes. If they cannot fix it with a pill or an operation, it does not exist. I've seen my share of seemingly thorough, astute, out-of-pocket holistic doctors, and not one of them ever suggested porn use.

Why do the out-of-pocket holistic doctors not suggest porn use as a cause?

Exactly! I'm sort of pissed that none of them (at least 4 or 5 I've seen), not the two urologists or any of the fertility doctors mentioned it. Could be they're not comfortable going there, because it's a taboo topic. Or more likely, it's simply not on anyones radar yet. Hopefully thais will change.

Not too sure how it differs to pied but it isn't necessarily caused by porn. I'm just wondering if it can be a side effect of pied.
