Did anyone else cruise the web for stories?

    For the last few years, along with on-line video, I found free story sites that used much less bandwidth to keep usage down but me up (2 puns there; erect and awake). I would edge for sometimes hours with the written word about sex but couldn't sit down to read a book if my life depended on it! I actually think it affected my eyes. After almost 4 weeks without, I seem to focus better everywhere. Just curious if anyone else took this perverted avenue?

    I did written stuff for a while. It seemed to affect my thoughts even more than pictures and videos. If I read porn, it tends to make me even more irritable than if I watch it. Something about the written words just seems to affect my thought process more.

    I did too. I felt it wasn't porn and so was OK. But the problem was that it drew me back into porn, so I'm including that in my no-porn comitment.

    Same here. actually all the effort spent trying to find nonporn ways to get off (that all led to porn) is how I discovered a NoFap thread on reddit. Hilarious. No turning back now.

    I not only consumed a lot of stories, but I wrote some. Invested huge amounts of time and energy. The pursuit of the most exquisitely orgasmic fantasy was exhausting, and finally futile. It was awful!

    @Septimus true, there is no end to fantasies and most cannot be achieved in reality, so definitely enormous expense of time and energy
