I have been influenced and or /addicted to porn since eight years old. That is 38 years. I have stopped numerous times even ones for three years. It was with gods help that I was able to do it and I had things to replace it with. After three years of Sebright he took me almost a year to get through looking at softcore before I hit any of the heavier stuff. It's been off and on for the past 10 years but now I am separated from my wife and porn has a large part to play in it. This time there's no going back. The first thread I read referred to the transe. i've never heard it called that but that's what it is. Today is my first day of sobriety and I look forward to associating with other good men with the same problem. we need to get strength from each other and if I may be so bold from God. It has worked for me in the past and it's where I must go now

Welcome to NoFap, SpiritualGiant1; this is a wonderful community of like minded individuals struggling with similar issues. It's comforting, knowing we are not judged, but understood. I'm glad you are here, together we stop PMO.

    Thanks for the Welcome NewLife101
I will begin addiction recovery meetings in person this week and will also be posting here. I look forward to discussions and helping one another. This is our life we are talking about here and we must regain control. The other option is a downward spiral
In which we lose all that is dear to us and we lose all that might have been. A sobering reality for all of us to contemplate. Make it a good day and remember that for today I will be sober. One day at a time. Tomorrow will come and I will deal with it then, today Inwill be clean. God bless all of you and your efforts to be better men. That's what he wants also and he will help if we ask believing.
