Binged Cause of the Election.

I work in mental health and being in Texas, many, many of my clients are legal and illegal immigrants from Mexico & South America. I speak fluent Spanish but am 100% Sicilian. Trump's election to the presidency has caused so much consternation with them I literally went home Wednesday and binged on porn to escape from the past couple of days. I woke up tonight after a long binge and thought how can I help these people if I can't help myself. Larger point is not only do I have triggers ( I binged last week after watching a 5 minute clip from an HBO movie, but I'm also using porn to escape from reality ). Which will lead me straight to a personal hell that I imagine is equal to my divorce.It's a 100 days until my 43rd birthday. I want to make it to that day free of this.

 

Thank you for the reply, yes, many, many of my clients being Spanish speaking only, limited Spanish, or English as a second language, sadly are not well read. They easily believe or focus on innuendo they hear through word of mouth. Will their be knocks at their doors, will they no longer be allowed to work, my children are legal but I am illegal, what will happen to us. These are actual conversations in my groups. The sensible part of me tells me much of the political rhetoric coming from Trump's mouth is just that; but in the same manner of surprise that an individual like him was elected president of the United States, there's a part of me that suspects he will be really harsh on all types of immigrant to appease the voters that put him into office. My original point being, I had never binged on porn to escape stress from work but the election made me go on a two day binge. It's the first time in my life I can honestly say I binged on porn to escape reality and not because I wanted to masturbate to beautiful women having sex. That was downright scary when I was able to clear my mind and look back at what I had just done.

 

If you had taken the time to read the essence of my post, you would have been able to understand the election became a trigger for me to binge and alleviate stress in my life; but being a Trump supporter, I understand the super majority of you are uneducated and easily misinformed, which lucky for him, there are a lot of in this country. The larger point was I began to use porn as an avenue to escape reality personally and professionally, instead of it being just an outlet for sexual pleasure. That being said, didn't vote for Trump or Clinton, as they are both equally worthless and the country deserved better.
