    Hi everyone, I'm a 17 year old from the U.K. I came across these forums and other websites like this one about 10 days ago. It was only then that I realised that I have some/most of the symptoms of Porn-Induced ED.
    Let me explain a bit of my back-story, and please if you can relate to anything I'm saying, then post below!I've been masturbating since the age of 12. Originally I didn't have my method correct and 'humped the bed' until about age 15/16. After that age, I finally sorted out my method. I'm not sure if this is the case with anyone else, but even though I describe myself as having 'porn-induced ED', I don't and never have actually watched porn that much - usually just reading erotic stories or looking at pictures of girls. However, I still have exactly the symptoms described on websites like this one, and believe what I have is the same thing. Up until last week, I masturbated 2-3 times a day, sometimes more. In the school holidays. that rose to anywhere from 4-6 times each day, over a period of 1 or 2 weeks.

    So 10 days ago I started hard-mode no PMO. Not looking at porn itself wasn't that difficult as I barely viewed it anyway. However, having Instagram/Facebook etc makes it very difficult to not see images of girls, which is what I would usually use.
    Even though I've been frustrated these last 10 days, I've managed to not masturbate or anything. However today I read an article describing a 'test' you can do on yourself to check if you have porn-induced ED whereby you try to gain an erection without looking or thinking about anything, and I convinced myself to take this test in the interest of science (which I shouldn't have done). Basically I edged for a few minutes. Then about an hour later I did it again for a few minutes. Now I feel really bad and that's what's led me to create my account on here and post my story, as I'm seriously trying to overcome this thing.

    Sorry for such a long post and thanks for reading. Again, if anyone can relate to anything I've said regarding my previous habits then please PM me or post below.

    I'm a 16 yr old from the UK. I'm on about 10 days too. I was actually a pretty heavy porn user (I started age seven, you can read my stuff on my journal) so you're already way ahead of me in terms of fixing yourself. Basically, just DON'T TOUCH YOUR ERECTIONS. Everything will be much easier. If you're tempted, think about why you're doing NoFap and all the benefits that but screwing yourself brings.

    Good luck!

    Hi, I am from England as well! What you are describing is called prone masturbation. It is harmful to the penis because of the extra friction involved and often the thrusting is pretty full on. This can lead to dryness of the penis and cracks and abrasions appearing on your dick head and under the shaft. If you have a foreskin (quite likely in our country), that might have been damaged a bit. All this can cause erectile dysfunction - complete or partial impotence and/or a desensitisation in the penis. Even when you use your hand, you can still have these things happen, especially if you use a "death grip" and stroke very fast. BUT, if you gradually, unlearn masturbation then everything should heal and return to normal.

    It sounds like you have an assumption of what porn is. But it covers a lot of things, including all you mentioned here - erotic stories, pictures of girls etc (even sexting, using web cams to get off etc). Pornography means: 1. writings, pictures, films, etc, designed to stimulate sexual excitement and 2. the production of such material. http://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/english/pornography

    Hard mode means no edging, no masturbation, no porn and no orgasm. So, it is a shame you have reset today. Ask if there is anything else you would like to know.

    Hi everyone and thanks for your contributions!
    @Balderdash, I've read your journal, keep it up! :)

    @IGY, luckily I stopped prone masturbating about 2-3 years ago. It actually left me with phimosis (search if you want) but over the past few years of typical masturbation I've been working on fixing it and it's about 90% fixed. I believe that having this condition has caused performance anxiety for me in the past, and this coupled with possible porn-related ED didn't help.
    I was planning on no edging for 90 days as I don't believe it's beneficial, but unfortunately I slipped up today! Hopefully these first 10 days haven't been for nothing because of it though.
    Thanks for your definition on porn by the way, I think that needs to be spread around because a lot of people on sites like this just assume all porn is in video format.

    @srdiogenes, thanks, I'll take a look now!

    Hey :) Glad to see you decided to sign up for an account, huge step in the right direction! :D

    As far as that test is concerned, I'd find it pretttty impressive if someone could get an erection on demand without any stimulation whatsoever. I suppose more pertinent would be the ability to make erections go away. Hell, if you find that, travel back in time and tell 13 year old me so he won't get a boner in PE :p
