is there any fans of european football in this community?

Newcastle United... because I picked a team that means something to me rather than searching "most likely to win the league".

 

It's been the strangest thing to see unfold. I grew up with everyone supporting their local team no matter if they were in the Premiership or languishing in what we now call League Two. Yet these days a kid will have a Chelsea kit one year then the next have a Man City kit on his Santa list. Or hell, he'll even support both at the same time.

Obviously the game is changing because its much more of a business now. And you also have a lot of international supporters who don't have those local roots. But still, I'd like to see more support for teams that have a strong identity and not just about who's got the newest billionaire owner.

I'm a Southampton fan.

 

Oh! So we won. I don't really follow the EFL Cup Although I might watch the final if Southampton make it to the final. Rodriguez is probably my favorite Saints player.

 

I am a real Madrid fan.

Yes we are sadly....and now we have been eliminated by Celta de Vigo

 

I expect I'll be watching the EFL final now that Southampton are in the final... It's kinda weird having your team in the final of competition you don't like.
