The purpose of this thread is to provide Fapstronauts with a place to share their commitment to abstaining from particular sexual behaviors throughout the entire month of March 2017. Although it is strongly recommended, posting in this thread is not required for participation.

New to NoFap? Here are some suggestions:

Learn about the website, porn addiction, excessive masturbation, and abstaining from PMO. Read through the forum to get informed.

Decide if abstaining from PMO is something that you really want. If you don't buy into the process 100%, you'll probably not make it through the month. If you have decided that you would like to participate, proceed to step three.

Sign up for this month by replying to this thread.

Consider setting up a day counter to track your progress. Otherwise, there are a variety of phone applications and calendars available for crossing off how many days you've lasted.

Create a Journal Thread and share your progress every day. Not only does this help you stay accountable, it documents valuable anecdotal evidence that will ultimately help other people going through similar situations in the future.

Ask questions and get support by posting on NoFap. Come here every day and participate.

Get an accountability partner.

Would you like to participate? If so, please reply to this thread with the following information.

Are you not going to allow yourself to masturbate? View porn? Orgasm whatsoever? Not allowing any outlet for sexual release is called "hard mode".

How long do you want this challenge to last? By default it is one month, but 90 days is recommended for rebooting.

I'm aiming for 3 months of hard mode. My goal is to wake up to an erection daily. If I see an attractive girl walk by, I also want a hard on. I don't want to objectify women any more. I want to see them as human beings and porn and masturbation doesn't allow me to do this. I want to be turned on by a real naked woman, I want that excitement back I use to have. If I have to be turned on by a fat chick, then let it be a fat chick. Why not.

I don't want to look at a computer screen that doesn't care about me. I don't want to have a double life any more, this secret life is nothing to be proud of.

I have enough of pleasing myself, I want a real woman to please me. Telling people I masturbate is nothing to be proud of. I don't want to waste any time on this any more, there are so many things I can do. I want to orgasm with a real woman and feel real sensations when doing it.

I want to get to the point, where I don't care about the dopamine rush any more. I just relax and let it flow through my body and do its thing. I want to get to the point where I don't care about flat lining. I'm still really scared about flat lining even though its normal for recovery. Logically understanding something and feeling it emotionally is very different.

Before I found out about NoFap, I always thought PMO was normal. I didn't know I was an addict. It hit me like a train wreak. All these years, I wish I knew I was an addict. My ex girlfriend told me PMO was no good but I didn't know why. I'm just no different to a heroin addict.

This all needs to change and I want a better life.

Alright, I didn't intend to join the 30-day commitment until later. I was still training my NoFap skils, but I was on Twitter and came across this challenge from a person I follow:

For those, who want a summary, these are the rules:
1. No masturbation
2. No porn
3. 100 pushups every day.. .. No excuses
4. Communicate
5. Do a daily challenge
6. Fix anything you need to fix...

Since you only get to pursue one life of awesome, I decided to try it. Am I nervous? Hell yes. I've never gone 30 days PMO-free (porn yes, but not the "M" or the O") in recent memory. I will do it anyway. Fear always lies when we are ready to transform.

So, here goes...
