Does porn/masturbation ruins a person's life?

Discussion in 'Rebooting - Porn Addiction Recovery' started by Deleted Account, Mar 1, 2017.

  1. For me, kind of if you only masturbated to naked women online for a few year. If you've done it for a decade and still do, this may be risker than ever. Porn/Masturbation effects your interests (gaming, reading, music, movies, television shows, etc.) you've enjoyed and, by any mean, that's unacceptable. Also, it can cause your brain a disease; like I said, if you're masturbated for a decade then something is going to get worse and worse than you assume. While having that terrible disease, you are going to have a cold, fever, headache, shaking brain, shaking penis, awkward feeling and a few to mention. One word for feeling: GUILTY. If you need help, go to the doctor or the therapist (whom I've never searched for but still thinking about it). Other than that, block porn-related websites, as well as some Google search, as much as possible.

Just helping you guys out. I'm out of control right now because of what I did last night and still feeling suicidal but ashamed. Yes, I'm feeling guilty since last night because my brain is shaking, having a cold again and I'm stressed for a week about quitting a job. I still have my freedom and I feel like I need to stay away from porn for life and I want to cure my brain from a disease (if this works). Of course, I didn't quit because of porn, I quit because I'm tired of self-respect workers, the job is too easy and I worked for that place for almost three years. I do need help and I'm still in recovery from porn. No matter how many times I relapse by looking at young, nude women in any day because that is part of the reboot process. It's life and that's how we do!

    Any thoughts?

as an answer to your headline, it doesn´t ruin the life of a person but it decreases the possibilities of that life, as your overall goal, menkind has to become better being hisself in order to become the perfect version, since perfection is impossible, but worth striving for, anything that makes you better brings you closer to your perfect self and NoFap offers many really impactfull advantages that give your life a bigger sense of fullfillment.

We are not here to eliminate something evil, we are not here to get out of a ruined life, we are not here to fight depression, anxiety, fatigue etc.
WE are here to become better than as we are right now and change ourselves for better.

More confidence, more motivation, more energy and more joy.
This is what you can expect from NoFap and will obtain once you did it long enough, the headline of this website says "get a new grip of life", I rather would say "get a better grip of life" because no ones life is ruined, it´s at a certain point and if you don´t like it where you are right now, all you have to do is to improve yourself, making things better, not new :D

What I can't believe is how much apathy I used to have. I'd always do the bare minimum and very little more. I think it really held me back in so many things because I would always be taking the path of least resistance. Now I actually want to do extra, I'm enthusiastic and much more optimistic about stuff. I want to focus on higher things now, so not just binging on Netflix or Youtube but spending my time actually expanding my knowledge and my spirituality.

Porn makes you chase instant gratification and because of that it saps away your ability to actually work for anything. Video games aren't rewarding because to an extent they make you work for achievement. It's become so easy in this world to chase instant gratification but I life is so much better if we can step back from that.

I'll keep this short and sweet, I want to become a man (I'm 18 now) and PMO is not going to help at all. So for me, it will ruin my life.

Hugh Hefner did PMO too, more oftenly than you think...so he wasn´t a man? :D

NoFap will help, yes, because of the increase of testosterone, which increases your muscle growth as well as developing alpha behaviors but it´s not the ultimate solution.
If you wanna be that "man" go lift weights, increase your testosterone, learn social skills, become confident and then you are good to go :D

  8. As an answer to your Title
    Pornography ruines life
I'm the living example for that
It affect your family relationships, your memory , your mental health , your sleep ,etc. Most viewers of pornography believe it bring no harm . but trust me it kill you slowly like a poison . it make you it's slave and force you to do anything for getting it

  9. That's what happened to me right now because what I did the other days, as well as for a year since I discovered NoFap. I'm still trying to recover but there is something that I need stop from thinking about hot women and masturbation for good so there;s gonna be a way.

Speaking of porn/masturbation, I got a bit of amnesia on some of video games, movies, books and my past, which is not good at all. The way my penis and brain are feeling right now, it's still shaking and afraid. I don't know how to stop the masturbation so eating corn flakes cereal might help.

    Any more tip?

Yes, it can ruin your life. Overdid anything and it won't be good, addiction makes you ask for it again and again, as for pmo it can give you pleasure without any effort or money. It can make you lost motivation to do something productive in real world, you can get the pleasure effortless so why you need to do something more productive ?
Way of thinking like that will ruin your life, as long as you can keep it under control its fine but again an addiction like this pmo likely proved very difficult to control as your brain ask for more dopamine as time goes by (watch vid about addiction).
As for me in the past, it reduce my self confidence, make me an introvert person, no motivation or goal, which is why I want to stop

Hugh Hefner is a sick lost soul who expoits young girls for profit and is a pornographer.. just because he got rich while screwing lots of sad lost girls and expoiting them does not make him a Man.
I live in LA and I was hired to video at one of his parties and have seen him out at events on a few occasians. The girls just laughed at him and treat him like a tool as he tries to grab at him and they push him away. I knew a guy that worked for him for years and he told me lots of stories of his pathetic behavior of how he would freak out if he didnt get a girl. He was a slave to sex addiction. They offered me to be the camera guy at the 55 year aniversary party. I turned it down. The 1st job i did for them was so toxic i had to spend weeks clearing out the bad vibes to get my health back.. plus i knew in my soul if i did the 2nd gig, and the girls got to know me, id be sucked into that world, start shooting porn, and loose my soul too.
HH is not a man, he is a lost little boy who never grew up and is stunted from crazed sex addiction man child. Nothing to look up to at all.

  15. I have no idea if Hugh Hefner is an owner of Playboy or not but that old man is definitely a boner when it comes to young, beautiful women getting naked and he does that in most of his life. Since he was a soldier in World War II, he addicted to young women in naked and still do. Kind of sad because he no control over himself and he felt that he need to be with women for his life if he already had a wife to hang with. No respectful to that old man, though. Pathetic.

I used to watch some of the episodes of that television show back in my high school days just to see Holly Madison in naked because of how freaking hot that chick was. I didn't care for two of other mates but Holly Madison was definitely worth watching because of her beautiful and nice body when she comes on-screen. Later in 2009, I got tired of watching that pile of trash because it was all just talks about shitty dreams where three women was telling about their lives at the mansion living with Hugh Hefner for few years or longer, which is sad. As I say again, I was so done with that sh*tty reality show and I'm glad it's no longer filmed and the DVD sets are hard to find now.

  17. Lack of awareness causes problems
If you are aware of harmful affects would you watch it?

  18. Did i say something wrong?

Hmm.. I just told the answer in the simplest words possible.

And you are right we are not aware of the ill effects of porn so initially we just accept it ... Let it affect us. Later we regret like we all are doing.

And another problem is age... At small age we just seek pleasure ... Thats why porn is meant for +18 :p

  19. Speaking of reality, I also addicted to some things that was on Girls Gone Wild show and website just for women 6 years ago. At least, the first time I visited on that website, that one video of a woman (looked like in her early 20s) took off her black dress and black top just to show off her big boobs was definitely worth watching and masturbate, which happened to me a few times. I felt like it was a pleasure to know her on-screen just because how freaking sexy she was. I was thinking one time that if she lives in my town or just to visit her place and meet her in-person, I would bang her harder and harder (it's offense, I know but how I felt back then). I posted this (not GGW as a whole) before and that thread was about myself so I got respects and from users on NoFap here.
I may add, the creator of Girl Gone Wild, Joe Francis, is one of the biggest morons in porn industry, whose his program brought a whole new level of porn. Joe is a d-bag and talks like shit. I watched an episode of Girls Gone Wild where an 18 years old girl who wanted to pose nude as part of her 18th birthday, she went to the studio and get on scene. When Joe shows up and talking to the girl and cameraman, then the girl took her top off in front of Joe, which is inappropriate. Of course, I was a virgin and a porn slave at the time and I still am.

Joe Francis has got to be banned from entertainment as a whole just because he freaking crazy he is/was. I was already done with that program and I'm glad I blocked that website. I want his program to be banned from the world, as well as porn, but I doubt it's gonna happen because it is North America.

I freaking hate the world we are living in. :(
